Preliminary Finals:
The Ladyboys vs. Mozzie Bites
You could hardly script the preliminary final any better. The two traditional rivals go head-to-head for a spot in the decider. The Ladyboys claimed the minor premiership and earned a spot in the preliminary final. This stage of the finals series is no shock to The Ladyboys, but this win is crucial to destroying the stigma of their ultimate lack of finals success. They are constantly there when the whips are cracking, but are yet to have made it to the final game of the year. Injuries to Tom Lynch and Michael Hurley in particular will hurt The Ladyboys and they will be looking to their depth to stand up.
Their opponents on the other hand have done so on multiple occasions. You don't need to look up the history books, just ask their coach amos, who is happy to tell you the 121 times they've won assorted flags and cups in the competition's short lifespan. But the realistic fact of the matter is, they are yet to have tasted premiership success since the rules were changed to stop everyone drafting key forwards into the midfield. This is the furthest amos has got since that stage and he will be looking to get to the decider with a victory over the enemy. The Ladyboys have been more consistent this year, but the Mozzie Bites are always a chance and there's no excuses for not knocking off a weakened Ladyboys outfit.
South-Eastern Polar Bears vs. Animals run wild
In the other preliminary final, the premiership-less Polar Bears will face off against Animals run wild who did enough to defeat the Plovers last weekend. The Animals won a flag a few seasons ago, while the Polar Bears went down in the greatest grand final of the modern era - the first one against the Mozzie Bites. Now both sides will attempt to made it through to that final game, with the Animals hoping to become the first multiple premier, while the Polar Bears hope to make it six individual premiers in the LFFL competition.
Both sides have some pretty talented players, but the suspension of Brodie Grundy will cost the Polar Bears, with the usual ruck/utility not available for this crucial clash. It gives Drew the upperhand although we're still wondering if Goldstein being available is an advantage or disadvantage in his current form... nonetheless the Animals might go in a touch favourite here, but after some serious heartbreak for the Polar Bears, they would be the general fans' favourite similar to the Western Bulldogs last season. Another ripping game set to go down to the wire hopefully.

Write-ups to come. I've kind of had a bit of a bad week at work, been let go so I'll try and write something up tomorrow.
Otherwise name your teams, captains and if you have a job going...
