With his debut on Sunday, the Cole Train will become the 226th Eagles player, the 6th player to appear in the number 28 (after Lewis, Sampi, Selwood, Smith and Lamb) and the 4th Tom.

He'll also join a long list of Bendigo Pioneer products to represent the club including the Selwoods, Michael Braun and the great Kane Munro.

Actually the 227th, I'd missed Jetta who was the 226th.

Good to see Sampi was at the game yesterday as a guest of the club.

With an epic first up appearance in the senior team for the year Cole dominated the game against Carlton, showing poise and dash off the half back flank.
We had to wait until round 5 for his first game of 2018 but it was worth the wait as Cole put on a display worthy of a rising star nomination.
Gathering 19 disposals, 6 marks and 2 tackles Cole literally had fans jumping out of their seats as he slotted through his first point of the year.
