He’s one of the players who will have a lot to say as to how we progress this season. If he can continue last year’s trajectory, we can make inroads.
If he continues on that trajectory, he finishes top five in the Coleman.

Larkey being able, and willing, to play second fiddle is very important.

Dead right Merlin no way Larky will be playing 2nd fiddle to anyone in our team never lone a 3 gamer.
They seem like complimentary players.

You could use Larkey as a target to both pockets/flanks and have Darling and Trembath start in the goalsquare with Darling trying to teach Trembath a bit of forward craft, blocking for him etc etc.

Zurhaar and Curtis are both good targets one out and that leaves room for another couple of forwards.

tbh I'm struggling to see how Larkey, Darling, Trembath and Zurhaar all play in the same forward line

I think fans will want to see Trembath as the second tall, but the coaches will want Darling for ruck relief

Like everyone I loved what I saw from Trembath in his three game audition but he has a lot to do to hold down a place let alone challenge Larkey as #1. The first thing he has to do is establish a reasonably high floor. Teams have video on him now and he has to expect to be defended better. It is very unlikely he will average 3 per game but if he continues to be physical, crash packs and hold up 1:1 he will cement a place even when goals are elusive. Realistically if he has a Zurhaar type 20/35+ season he will be a real asset. That is quite a high projection for a guy with 3 AFL games. If he exceeds that baseline, well we are laughing.

Yet somehow taken less contested marks and ragdolled more than my daughter’s favourite teddy.
hes had a pretty fair career
Its not his bag sitting in the centre square getting ragdolled though. Like asking Mitch Starc to bowl left arm spin
rather he played a mobile role that suits him and leave the WWF stuff to Darling & Trembath
