We have about equal chances of being right on this one I think. My take is that there’s so much evidence that it will seem corrupt if he’s not prosecuted for sex crimes.
IE, more damage to the monarchy in that scenario, whereas it gains in standing by letting events take their course.

He would have to be extradited for his sex crimes unless it can be shown he did so on UK soil.

He will never be extradited to the US although the political fallout from not doing it is getting louder.
