Also how’s Numurkah going this year? I l spent a fair few years living and then holidaying in Numurkah so have a soft spot for them. Never played there though. I expected them to clinch a flag by recruiting well out of Shepparton but just hasn’t happened for them

Yep Carlisle gone, heard other things aswell that he didn't turn up to some trainings and to a pre season launch or something.

Reckon Congupna get most of the players from Shepp than Numurkah, Shepp coach Harrap went to Numurkah to coach, unsure if he is still out there though and I presume he brought along some players.

3 rounds in. Any surprises?

Thought Finley and Tonny would be real chances this year but not looking it so far.

Mulwala over Numurkah today was a big win. Had Numurkah ahead of them after 2 rounds, wasn't expecting that one.

Nathalia, just keep producing, what a football team/club they have been over the last 20 years.

Where are Cobram at?

Congupna are clearly the side again. Big wins over Mul and Cobram already

Finley likely go 0-5 this week. Is that to far back to make the 6?? Been in every game.

How disappointed would they be missing finals when word was chasing premiership.
Especially what they have spent to be back up the ladder

Spent up? Hardly spent much, 2-3 big recruits and the rest are pretty much ex juniors back to the club. Obviously finals would be the goal like every club but wouldn’t say they’ve spent up to get there
I think getting an extra 15K approved in the salary cap over the rest of the competition would be classed spending up

You reckon the ex juniors are playing fo nothing? 😂

Just got told there is a likely sexual assault case stemming from a netball game .
Not involving the non binary male netballer is it? Good to see United make a stand. Absolute joke letting male netballers play in a female comp.. no matter what you identify as! I’d like to think the powers that be wouldn’t allow this in Picola league or are hands tied by Netball Vic?

It’s a really challenging situation .
There is discrepancy about policies / acts .
In some cases it states or words to the affect that a person may play in a competition based on what gender they identify . Unless I am mis taken someone who identifies as non binary doesn’t identify as either gender , I assume most competitions are listed as female only not gender natural ?
The overarching ‘ rules ‘ the world rules, state that a person may only play in gender based competitions , based upon the gender they were born . The act states exemption for elite competitions but not community , discrimination ??
An exemption from the act relates to stamina and strength with some competitions using that to enforce all sorts of testing before someone who isn’t born female can register if they only deliver female competitions at the age .
Many community female netballers play the game because they wish to play amongst those born of the female gender , for numerous reasons . How is co-existence achieved without discriminating against those people which the game is already catering for ?
It isn’t unprecedented that inclusion policy makers sole focus is on those previously excluded without any consideration to those who will be excluded by new policy .
What has happened with United forfeiting, for alleged reason , is a disaster but also an example of an attempt for inclusion clearly excluding others ( in this case a full team ) from being included .
Can co-existance occur ??? I have no idea as I don’t have all the facts nor knowledge .
But what is clearly evident is that the introduction of policy and just assuming all will accept without excluding others is flawed and been proven yet again in this scenario .
It’s not unrealistic to think that there will be specified non -binary or transgender competitions in the future which I don’t know if that is a solution ? Has this scenario started something that can / will grow in the MFL?
Lastly and importantly I think leagues associations should have the right to introduce their own policy so that they can offer what they feel best suits their membership profile ?

I’m all for inclusion and respecting people identifying as what they want….
But I’m pretty straight down the line with this situation, female only competition, and that is biological female , no non binary or biological males identifying as female.
