After seeing TBC next to Travaglia and Banfield I thought we were looking at months on the sidelines. Not sure what happened there but that’s a relief.
Sometimes things just have to heal or inflammation/swelling has to subside before a proper assessment and rehab plan can be made. I'd much prefer a TBC than an inaccurate timeline, not sure about the AFL's view

Totally agree when have look at our clearance stats released today, Windhager is 3rd on our list and he has played back flank for the majority of the year. I think the club need to adjust the midfield mix, they need Windy up around the ball just for his presence and effort. I would keep Carroll in the side at the expense of Stocker he is quicker and better defensively.

The irony in all this with Nas's midfield development, we now desparately need another attacking back flanker with elite kicking. Hunter Clark might be the fill in (if he can stay fit) but he lacks the dynamic running capacities that the big metres gained players accumulate.
Pretty fair. Ironic that we miss Ronnie Byrne's running ability. We are a bit exposed for run as Carroll is Ok but still really learning the hbf position and has only played 25 or so games. Also feel that Wood is slowing up a bit. Love Mase but he is losing half a yard. Great clubman and I hope we keep him around the club. Couple that with Sinc's, while still getting a ton of ball is not the AA hbf'er of a couple of years ago.

I think he's lacked impact - not doing much wrong but not having many impactful moments.

If Byrnes can recapture his preseason form, he has the potential to be more influential on the game.
Sorry , Cant agree at all , Ryan tries no doubt but he doesnt hurt you with his disposals as he is a very average kick who struggles to kick it 40 mtrs and its not like he breaks the lines with his running

Ryan is allways going to be able to get high teens or mid 20 disposals a game as clubs know its going to have minimal impact on the game

Please others dont come with the Old Hate line , its old , boring and not even remotely true

Some of what you said, I agree with.

Byrnes' kicking isn't great, it could be more damaging and he doesn't run the lines as a ball receiver.

But the rest of it is hatred bias haha.

Byrnes earns his disposals through his workrate, not because the opposition don't give a f*** about him lol.

While he doesn't run the lines as a ball receiver, he certainly runs the lines to support his team-mates defensively.

Just saw some interesting stats.

Cooper Sharman is equal-second in the AFL for goal assists (7), but is 120th for score involvements.

As for Saints score involvements, an interesting name in this list:

Max Hall 36
Tom De Koning 35
Nas 34
Owens 31
Wilson 31
Windhager 29
Higgins 28
Flanders 26
Sharman 25

De Koning has the second-most score involvements in the AFL from ruckman, only behind Brodie Grundy (40).

In comparison to some other rucks:

Jackson 31, Gawn 29, Cameron 17, Meek 12, Marshall 11.

While sometimes De Koning's disposals tally hasn't been that impressive, he is certainly having an influence in scores being created.

I think he has been like that in the past but he seemed to improve over the preseason and if he can play the way he did in before getting injured, I think he can add more to the team then what Wood has for the past few games. But that is an 'if'.

Side note from The Agenda Settets tonight:

Old Kano absolutely apoplectic at the thought of Nick Foote ever umpiring a Port game again…

Turns out he’s doing our game against the Crows. Don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing 🙄
Absolutely a bad thing - he's gonna f***** overcorrect beyond Leigh Fisher levels haha

I'd like Hastie to get a look in soon, certainly lacks in the elite kicking department at this stage however

Not getting many touches, I’m more commenting that Byrnes plays more the Wood role, not the Carroll role
Wilson, need to give him a greater role

I wonder if he was carrying the injury that eventually forced him out, because he looked awesome in the pre season games and then absolutely terrible in the H&A games.

If the Macrae of early last season still exists then he would be a massive inclusion.
You would imagine so, similar to after he got injured in round 6 or 7 last year and went from looking like a potential aa to very average when he came back in. Just hope we try and get his body right before bringing him in

I would still rather Mason getting 15 disposals a game than Ronnie getting 25 , Yes Mason was very average last week but he has played a big part in us winning games and keeps his spot for now IMO

I think TDK had 11 score involvements at half time against Melbourne the day that the pundits decided he was destroyed by Gawn.
I don't really know how the stat works but I know that's a number that gets panel shows pants off for the right narrative.

I think it’s a stat that depends a bit on luck. You kick a 20m pass to someone from the back pocket and we take it all the way for a score, you get a score involvement. Someone turns it over at half forward and you don’t.
