You wonder how no one at the club noticed the erratic nature of his movements/actions. Very concerning. How the hell was he out out there

How the hell can Carlton let him go out there like that? Surely pull him in the warm up or something if you can tell he’s cooked? Probably cost them the game as well

Carlton officials who left him out there, should go before him.If it is as suspected, then he has to be sacked ASAP.
Or overdid prescribed meds, or mixed them with the wrong things. The fact that he clearly wasn't right and they continued playing him, is very average.
People will assume he's high, perhaps he's actually unmedicated (as in, he forgot to take prescribed medication).
Does anyone have videos of him on the ground/bench? Besides the one in the goal square
Absolutely. Ultimately, Carlton as his employer owed Elijah a duty of care tonight and if they chose to play him knowing he wasn't necessarily in the best state then that's a very bad look and not good enough (like you said). This sort of stuff is very delicate, but I just find it hard to believe NO ONE noticed anything prior to the fourth quarter. They pulled him for most of the last quarter so obviously they knew something was up by then.
The timeline of events will be interesting. If it comes out that they had even an inkling before that last quarter, not good enough.
I dunno.
The backstory obviously raises the possibility he might have been coming off a bender.
But I just find it so hard to believe that not a single Carlton person could have noticed something was up in the hours before the game, and done something about it.
Really hope he didn’t just forget to take some meds before the game, and suddenly lost contact with reality halfway though. That’d be devastating.
Do we know what quarter the footage of him running backwards and acting completely bizzare was? There’s no way no coach saw that and the moment they did he should’ve been pulled from the matchThey pulled him for most of the last quarter so obviously they knew something was up by then.

This basically confirms he was on a bender thanThere was a moment in the first quarter around halfway through when he kind of saddled Houston, then when he was pushed off he did a weird somersault, landed on his feet and sprinted off randomly.
Looks to me like he is having a manic episode unfortunately. Poor bloke. I hope he gets the help that he needs, regardless of the cause.
Absolutely, I hope he gets what he needs. So many questions to the Carlton FC - how did the coaches let him out there? Did you see how his team mates turned away from him, didn't engage with him? They must've knownHe needs genuine support.
This is where I’m at.There’s no way no coach saw that and the moment they did he should’ve been pulled from the match
I think given the way its been framed by the club, it's a possibility he was off an important medication rather than being off his face.If it is as suspected, then he has to be sacked ASAP.

McKay kicks a goal at the end of the footage, so you should be able to track it down from thereDo we know what quarter the footage of him running backwards and acting completely bizzare was? There’s no way no coach saw that and the moment they did he should’ve been pulled from the match
What? Not it doesn'tThis basically confirms he was on a bender than
Sigh. The pile on in here already claiming he’s on illicit drugs without any proof is disappointing. There’s so many alternative explanations to the erratic behaviour that are much more likely such as prescription medication issues, manic / disassociate episode etc.
