He does get more of it but.
If you look at % CP, both Lalor and Harley average just under 50% CP while Wurrm is at about 35%.
Given he plays mostly Wing but, that is still pretty high and averaging 19 possies in that role also demonstrates his huge work rate. Getting 20 +1 on a wing would be bordering on elite for the position, let alone for a 7 gamer.

Contested possessions is a very misunderstood stat. Most of Duurs CPs are loose ball gets and intercept possessions. Hard ball gets he's slightly behind Lalor (0.4 a game to 0.7), while Harley at 2.7 was miles ahead.

Obviously he's a #1 pick, but he's exceeded my expectations for year 1.

Had concerns over his frame and how it would stand up at AFL, but as you said hes exceeded expectations so far.

It still could've turned out quite well that time if we picked the right player, but Allan was higher on our draft board and potentially worried about Reid's go home factor.
I think most people would be pretty content about downgrading from a Jagga or Harvey Langford, but still getting Murphy.
Allan could still turn out well, but unfortunately we currently only have potential. A sliding doors moment of Allan and Murphy swapping clubs if we went the other way.
Perhaps Reid might not have re-signed as quickly at the WC, but no real reason to think he still wouldn't have won the rising star with us.

Such a good passage from the transition to the finish. Hopefully the team try and loosen the shackles and lean more into this. We saw more of it in our two wins and close GC loss.

GC wasn't close lol but I know what u mean.

I picture Bo Allans 1st goal v port, just running past for the handball and drills it on the run from 55m Nicoski style.

Each to their own but I've been thoroughly unimpressed with Jagga, brings back memories of Conor West. Langford is just okay. Reid is a star, but we were tossing up between Allan or Berry anyway
