I think Arsenal are a huge chance in the final. They won’t let PSG or Bayern draw them into an attacking shootout end to end style game. They’ll stick to their structure, are dangerous at set pieces and have put together a few good performances in a row now creating plenty of chances.

Stylistically I think they’re as tough to beat in a one off game as any team in Europe

I disagree. Arsenal and Liverpool are the most mouthy when they’re up which is why they get minimal respect from opposition fans.

I don’t see nearly the same level of volatility for and against Chelsea, City, United or Spurs. Maybe United? But that definitely stems from the Fergie era. The other two have the most reactive and obnoxious fanbases in the league despite winning absolutely nothing.
Nope. People just wanted them to go on with their droughts and get insecure when that's in jeopardy. People would also love Chelsea and Man United to go another 20 years without winning the league or going deep in Europe.

Your insights don't come from logic or experience based on my 15 years living in England and interacting with people from every setting imaginable. I don't form my opinions from the most toxic people I see on social media and footy fan websites.

The biggest 3 clubs in terms of fan base have the most annoying fans? I'm shocked to be sitting here.

Chelsea and United haven’t won much in the last 10 years either aside from the 2021 CL, but there’s nowhere near the same amount of toxicity towards either team. Why would you suggest that is?

I’d suggest to you that it’s because the fans of Arsenal and Liverpool themselves are the most toxic when their team is even slightly trending in the right direction. Only have to look at the period between Liverpools CL and PL titles in comparison to now.

I understand every fan base has these types but those two sides in particular you’d be struggling to find a fan who isn’t hot and cold on their own side to the extremities.

As a WC fan you’d know all about it with the Victorian fanbases so now you’re on the other side of it you’re happy to become the same toxic fan you despise in other sports?

Every club has delusional fans. Every single one.

People have loved Man United's demise and every year Chelsea are shit is a good one. It doesn't mean they're going to love Liverpool or Arsenal breaking droughts and getting relevant again. Manchester City aren't liked but to many their sports washing success is more palatable than the other 4 adding to their trophy collection. There is a sort of apathy with them as at least they stop the other 4 succeeding. That's the long and short of it and it really isn't any more complicated.

That frankly is the most disgraceful performance I can remember from an Arsenal side.

We did not look threatening once. We only scored because of a stroke of luck from a corner.

Arteta continues to fail in April when the going gets tough.

Just not good enough.
This you?

This you?
Yes?

Not what sure me rightfully criticising a dreadful performance has to do with anything?

I know holding your side accountable is a foreign concept to you, given all you do is cry about referees and shout conspiracy after every defeat.

Based on this standard, according to Coasters it is why all 18 AFL clubs and their supporters are the most despised in the league.

Holding your side accountable? Come off it, you’re not on the touchline boss.

This was 3 weeks ago. The sky is falling. Now back to being the best side of all time.

Show me one post where I've suggested this?

All I said is we are deserving finalists, which we are.

We've beaten the current Italian champions in their own backyard, battered the German champions, battered Atleti in the league phase and then knocked them out for good measure, and knocked out the Portugese champions.

Yes we've benefited from being on the easy side of the draw. We earned that right by finishing at the top of the league phase without losing a game.

We have conceded 6 goals in 14 games.

Any suggestion that we haven't earned our place in the final is pure delusion.

Sounds fantastic when you put it like that but if you dug a bit deeper you’d know none of those teams are what they were last season. Especially not compared to some of the powerhouses on the opposite side.

You do deserve an easier draw for the group phase, but you lucked out with who that included because even one from the other side and you’re done in the quarters or semis.

All this talk about Arsenal not being able to play attractive football, last I checked, points and trophies aren't given out for how flashy or exciting you play, they're given out for winning.

I couldn't care less if the team is playing boring football, I care about coming out of the game with a win.

They “won” last night with a rebound goal and two clear penalties not given against them.

A team from the other side of the draw has them out comfortably with the way they played across both legs.

They can play better but we haven’t seen that Arsenal for 2 years now.

Winning the title, while irritating is tolerable. Even if they are Bradbury'ing it.
They've done it before. Que Sera Sera. Life goes on.

What I would say though is that I would like the European monkey to remain on the back as long as possible. Mainly from a club rivalry standpoint but also because Arteta doesn't deserve anything in this world. But I can't begrudge the club getting there even if the nominal figure head is not a particularly nice person.

Unlike some big clubs in England and Europe they are properly run and don't rely on dirty middle east money or corrupt Russian cash to succeed, and I've been consistent on my dislike for that practice for a while. So I can't begrudge earning their way to a final. Even if I hope they lose. And this response is vastly different to what it would have been 12 months or more ago. Probably would have been more like coasters. I just don't care about football as much as I used to, at the top level anyway. Far too much corruption, and far too much dirty money, and it's a joke how long it is taking to find City guilty.

Most Arsenal fans on here are reasonable, even if a couple of them are more akin to a pop up sprinkler. So for most of you, enjoy it.
