I hate the helmet. I don't want to look like a guy in a bird suit. It actually made me hunt down the setting to only show the helmet in combat.

Fair enough, I have been looking out for a cooler one but not too many go with the leather suit.

Was finding different sets in caves but nothing better yet than what I've got unfortunately.

The sword is awesome though. The r2 crow strike is pretty devastating when used repeatedly.

Found the stag headgear last night. +35% to spinning slash is a goer. Only problem now is i look like a deer instead of a crow.

I won't use it because I don't like how it looks. You can hide headgear now but I want full transmog because fashion craft is important.

You can take the Abyss Gear out of that and put it in another helm. I did that with the Frost Curse helm.

I don't think i can yet. Trying to finish the witch quests as I think that’s what unlocks that stuff?

Yeh, you just need to unlock the second witch (near the witchwoods).

Last night the campaigners in one town kept stealing the food I was putting on the ground to get a new pet.

There is a sick helm north of the D in Demeniss - easy to find in the Chattering Rocks
Grab that and slot the abyss gear into it.

I'm still having trouble finishing enough witch quests to unlock the abyss gear stuff. Some of them just refuse to activate in the journal. i guess i just haven't done the right combo of other quests or something. Getting a bit frustrating as I have heaps of things to put in the sockets.

Have you found all 4 witches yet ?
Speak to them to unlock more of the quest line. Then they open up on the map

You don’t need to speak to all of them though. Pretty sure I’d only found one when gears became available. So maybe it’s a main quest thing?

Yeah could be. I've just triggered chapter 7 but haven't started it yet to go and do other stuff. It's kinda funny. I'm still drenched in blood from the end of c6 and I'm just casually chatting with people about the place.

Hmmmm, I had gears access in chapter 5. Copilot says chapter 3, by progressing the witch questline.

Ok i finally worked it out. Seems i only get the option to embed gear at the hermit witch. I had found her before but that must have been before I was able to do abyss gear because it wasn't an option the first time. She doesn't appear on my map or in my journal either so I just kinda forgot about her.

It's so easy to not actually do anything in this game. Given Kliff can now wear Onngka's armour and I was getting a bit over the Frostcurse look, I wanted to change my getup. So hunted down the pieces I wanted, dyed them all, moved the abyss gears, extracted and refined all the pieces to level them back up. Few hours later, I've done **** all quests.

I find I have to sit down with the express intention of smashing out a few quests, and make sure I use teleport to get as close as I can to quest markers. Otherwise I just get distracted and wander off lol
