This will be the first (and potentially only) time we see Perkins/Cox/Reid and Robey/Farrow/Sharp in the same team.

Redman was one of the worst of the senior listed players in the VFL last week, his inclusion after that is the one I'm having the hardest time to wrap my head around.

We know his quality

He just needed some match fitness and to get through after a decent lay off

He will be fine down back

May in for Edwards.
Bryan in for McKay which pushes Blakistan back.
Johnson for Kondo.
Redman for El-Hawli.
Parish for Caldwell.

Harsh on Edwards and I would rather see Setterfield or Tsatas over Parish but the changes do make some sense.

Think we are too slow up forward however.

Probably liked Cox at CHF (or heard another club they respected was into him and want to see why/copy them)

Moves Caddy to 3rd tall which means Edwards misses out.

So what structure are we going role with? Forward half now has wright may caddy and cox as tall forwards. Not sure why we didn’t just drop blakiston (who is a liability wherever he plays) and go with a shorter defense and play wright behind the ball as a ruck like Darcy Cameron

It seems a bit odd but it's hard (impossible?) to know what their selection criteria are. It could easily be a couple of players met a certain criteria set for them in the VFL or something.

Either way it's not like it'll make a difference in the result so I don't mind him doing seemingly random stuff and maybe throwing some magnets around.

Bryan is a big meh for me. Wright is just starting to prove himself as the main ruckman, playing the best first-ruck game of his career and they decide to bring in an under-done and uninspiring VFL ruckman. There’s no form at all from Bryan to warrant him stifling the momentum of 2MP.

Has Edwards got any physical aspect to his game? Sure he can chase but can he stick a tackle when needed? Can he stand up in a contest and at least half a contest??

We are talking AFL here. Like McMahon he has a natural talent to kick a goal or three, but im ok letting him go back to VFL this week.

This is what we need in a couple of spots is speed at the ball. Saad was doing ok down back but we need 2 or 3 players with genuine line breaking speed.

A Bolton type is what we are crying out for, he is killing it atm.

If GWS get their running game going it will get ugly as we have few who could go with them.

I swear the selectors look at changes in isolation and not the overall team balance.

Reality though the selected team balance is dog sh1te.

Interested to see how this plays out, coming into a run of winnable games makes the selections more interesting.
