• 2 softies to Georgiades in the 1st
• 2 clear Naughton (shove and arm dragged) frees missed in good positions
• 1 goal immediately following the OOB they said was inside 50 when it was outside and should have been our lasoo free
• 1 goal following the free for JHF for high in the marking contest when already our on the full

I totally agree with the sentiment, other than the last point. Gallagher took him high over the line, it was a deserved free to JHF.

Hideous to watch in the second half.

Excruciating watch us fluff so many opportunities (yes there were nine behinds but there were at least three absolute gimmes that resulted in turnovers with no score).

Really happy with Lewis. Will likely play out the year. I’m not a huge believer in Baker but he offered some smart touches when it was tight.

I think at least in terms of effort and pressure we are back.

Of all the players to lose to injury did it have to be English again??? The one player we can least afford to lose. Quite frankly it turns us into a bottom 4 team when he isn’t playing. We will lose against Carlton without him I have no doubt. Such a shame that what was a very promising season has turned to crap. Gutsy win tonight but we will pay for it by losing big Timmy again

• Bont unbelievable as normal
• Naughts only 2 goals but had a great game. His pressure and attack at the footy is so needed without any real tall support. Lewis is doing well considering his expectations and finding ways to pop-up for goals each game
• Budarick straight back in good form is great to see
• Sellwood is a God. Bailey Williams had some important moments
• Potential English concussion is catastrophic given his history. Hope he is fine
• Lachie Smith competed well and managed to get involved around the ground
• Made it harder for ourselves than it should’ve been
• Umpiring shocking

Fun fact: Once I got back to the car half way through the last. Not one of the 3 radio stations I checked (ABC. SEN or MMM) was broadcasting the game. The only broadcasts were through the app. Where each of those outlets were available to stream. We're going well when they'd rather broadcast the Lions and Blues game.

Smith is still a big concern, he's rucking better than Emmett, but that's not a high bar. He cannot cover any ground though, and at least twice tonight, he failed to get to a contest. Big concern if English is indeed out.

If Lobb is fit, I'd very tempted to put him in the ruck, and I'd even put Croft in before we consider Emmett again. He is so far off AFL level it's not even funny.

Selwood brilliant again.
Thought Williams was important.
Also Freijah lifted in the last after being terrible most of the game.

Our bottom end are a worry.
Smith may have been ok in the last 10 minutes, but the rest not much good.
Been wrong about Gags , not up to this level .
McNeil , well that’s what he does , not a lot , and poor skills for bloke his size.
Hynes is a total liability, needs to spend a decent stint in the VFL.

What about with 70 seconds left JHF ducks, doesn’t get the high contact, goes to ground, tackled… ball up. It was f***ing gutless.

And the Kennedy “hold” on the boundary before the Georgiades gets rewarded for a giant flop becuase Coff dared to defend him, the whistle goes so we stop defending, a port player marks it and the umps are like “just give it to him he’s on a better angle”

It was the most disgusting umpiring display I can remember

That last one was a downfield free for contact by Kennedy after the kick into the forward line. It wasn’t a mark after the whistle or a free to Georgiades
