This is a game we can win, we need to play our best, it's going to be a scrappy game, I think that suits us better IF we can match them in the middle

Congrats to Mason for his 100th club game

Hope to see a good Saints turnout like we did in Alice..

This game will tell us a lot about what to expect for the rest of the season from this team

Wilson in is huge. Jimmy Bartel & James Hird previewed this game saying there's going to be a heavy emphasis on groundball gets and post-clearance contested possession. Wilson alongside Garcia had an equal team-high 10 groundball gets playing as a part-time midfielder. Big opportunity for some kids to assert themselves against some of the best in the competition

Definitely winnable.
We can't afford to disappear completely for a whole quarter though, which is what we've been doing in every game. Our good is very good, and we are seeing more consistency in maintaining the level for longer, but we need to at least be present when the oppo starts to flex. Granted there is ebb and flow in every match, but we need to show that we are switched on when it's their time to roll.
Do that and we win.

The conditions will have a massive effect, it's going to be punishing. I hope the lads are up for it. A win here will be massive.

We can do it if we turn up for the whole game

Go Saints!

PS are any other international viewers finding it Impossible to watch live matches this week? Each time I click on a live game on WatchAFL it instead gives me some garbage about betting

From watching other sides this year it really feels like 5 minutes of poor concentration or lapses in application can break games open. Guys like Murphy Reid and Nas that can break a gridlock are super important for splitting sides open.

It would be good timing for him to stamp himself on a match again. Hall is another and Wilson in bursts. Getting the forwards to perform like last week would be handy too. Converting opportunities is still the best way to win matches.

This one going to be tough and hard to be too optimistic....Suns go well in Darwin. Rowell out helps but crap they bat deep....Anderson, Petracca, Humphries, Miller, Weller.

Everything would have to go right, TDK have to have a blinder, defence play out of their skins and someone step up and kick a bag.

The main channel has still been working, just not the match links. So could only watch the Lions game last night.

Support know about it and are trying to fix it. Probably 3 weeks, and another 3 of conditioning. You might want to spit the dummy and regret having ever signed up for a contract.

We've basically been waiting since 2011 to get good again.

There were glimpses in 2020 and 2023.

Now we sit at the start of a really tough run and I just wonder if we might have taken the next step.

We'll learn a lot over this period.

I don't think there's any reason we can't beat the Suns.

We wait in hope that we have become a really good side again.

What half-time scoreboard would you rather see in this one?

Scenarios One: 9.7 vs 9.6
OR
Scenario Two: 3:8 vs 3:7

Shoot out or slug fest?

Which suits us?

The constant betting shite is relentless.

Shoot out in a slug fest 🤪

Honestly hard to answer. We used to grind a team down with method....but we've changed.
Maybe just be schizophrenic and confuse the bejesus outta them.

Maybe you have to place a bet before you can watch a game?

Are becoming.
Not there yet. But certainly a lot closer than we’ve been in decades.
And more importantly, with a team that can sustain it for a good few years.

Back line is now as good as it has been for some time.
Midfield much improved and growing with each game. We have enough going through there now to fix when oppo get on a run.
Forward line has changed to adapt to no tall target and doing well but we are still 3 players short of our best here.

It’ll be a who blinks first game. Stay in the fray and we are a big chance.

Really really really hope we win this one after hearing Cain what’s the last thing that just won’t flush down the toilet say that Carlton should be beating the Richmonds and St Kildas of the world.
