What position does Travaglia play? I watched probably half of the game and I couldn’t tell you.

What position do we think he will play if he ever gets back into the AFL? I struggle to see it with him, think he needs to seriously bulk up.

Will keep the faith but want to see more from him!

For god sake he is a 19 year old kid playing his 2nd year of footy.

needs to be put in front of a firing squad
I am not saying that he needs to be hung in front of the whole town, but referencing his age is a poor argument. I have played footy my entire life, and I never felt the urge to throw hands. He made a mistake, he will likely get a suspension and he will learn from it and be a great footballer.

Criticising a clear stuff up from Tauru isn’t me praying for his downfall. I am frustrated with it cause I don’t want him missing football due to his ability to make us better. He can’t do that if he’s not on the field.

It’s like the ****ing zapruder film but

Nar.
Striking ✅
Intentional ✅
High (probably)
Impact (low, the bloke gets straight up)

Looking like the Zeb player kept hanging onto Tauru after the siren.
Expect the AFL to go after us because of Collards business. I hope we fight it again. 🙏

Well that's interesting, you run that through the MRO grading table and you get 1 week, yet Long got a fine.

example.webp

If this is still the most up to date table, surely Long had to get a week and so does Tauru? High contact, intentional and low force = 1 week. But given just a week ago the AFL gave Long a fine for his scenario, the interpretation of "careless" or "intentional" when making high contact in a jumper punch/scuffle seems to be more of a "careless" scenario.

Either that, or the AFL love their nepo babies and were desperately looking for a grading that let Long to play up in Darwin as their home town hero trying to grow the brand up North............

Or, a low force strike to the face is just a careless act in a push and shove/jumper punch situation and the AFL are all hunky dunky with that,

I know which one of those scenarios I think is most likely given the AFL's incredibly flexible thinking and grading of incidents when there is a desired outcome they want to try and justify. cough Brayshaw-Maynard cough Cripps-Ah Chee cough Pendlebury-Worrell cough cough cough

How many tinfoil hats do you go through in a week

I suspect the Long one they may not was an open palm slap, thus not an intentional strike (and yes I realise and agree that’s stupid I’m just saying that may be the difference).

Is it officially alarm bells for Travaglia making the grade? And when I say grade, I don’t mean playing 50-60 games of AFL. I mean actually having an impactful career. He runs around like he’s in the Stawell Gift but I just don’t see what he brings as a weapon.

Nah, he's a young kid that stuffed up, he will find his way and learn

I reckon referencing him as an absolute idiot is poor

2 weeks at most
The aggression is great shows he cares
While I loath to kick Billings…didint he have th record most games played without giving away a free kick? I know i would rather the aggression from AT
I think the "it shows he cares" defence holds much weight with the tribunal to be honest

I'd rather our best players not sitting on the sidelines due to their own stupidity for a non-football act after the siren.

Great to see Barrat has resumed developing 😍

For those who watched, which players put their hand up for the ones?
Fincher & Hastie for mine, both can play back or midfield

Banfield & Boxshall did the contested stuff well, & Banfield was a threat in the air when he went forward.
But who would they replace?
Maybe two of Byrnes, O'Connell, Macrae or Pou

He's been mostly playing in the midfield.

It looks like Dodson is on top of the Sandy bloke and best case the Sandy guy has one arm on Tauru (that’s being VERY generous). He’s not being tied up and doesn’t need to do it at all.

The vision looks like there’s actually 3 shots all of them are head/neck.

I’m going to assume low impact but post game medical will determine that.

It’s at least a week regardless of your opinion of the morality of it all.
im sure I saw this pic on a facebook UFO page earlier

Tauru has just deliberately punched a bloke twice in the face when they were both lying on the ground. Could easily miss the next 6 weeks🤦
Looked like a rocket scientist practicing brain surgery to me.

Nothing to see here.

Without knowing what sparked it I’m not sure snorting a bloke laying on the ground is the right call.

That’s not flying the flag
Without knowing what sparked the reaction from Tauru, I'm withholding judgement.

Below is a completely made up scenario where i would certainly throw punches.

The Sandy player has grabbed, and is vigorously squeezing my testes.

By punching him in the face?

Short of being squirrel gripped there’s no excuse for that on a footy field, it’s not the 80s anymore.

Means a lot more to your teammates to be available to play than what he’s done here.
Oh my god, great minds think alike!
