You mean the Brown who’s worth around 400 million? Yea nah.
Who cares what he's worth?, I dont judge him by how much money hes worth, Im judging him by his decency or otherwise as a human.

And oysters.... ;)

And from what I know where there are oysters there are pearls...... Take a bow Newy, Hewy. Hayward and Florent.
3 votes for Isons chin as well. Lowest ranking by champion data but he just has an infectious energy and kicked a goal at a critical moment.

Whatelys position on this is consistent and has nothing to do with being a Geelong supporter. His actual position is the whole process is a farce and is doomed to produce incorrect outcomes over and over again. Which it did. Thats what hes passionate about: The systm is a joke, and trying to make it perfect is inherently flawed.
That Carlton hating Geelong loving sanctimonious schmuck doesn't deserve his name mentioned on this board...After Carlton moved Voss on he derided Carlton supporters for being delusional about our team's prospects and basically accused us of mental incompetence for always thinking sacking the coach is the answer.

They have been solid a new core.
The best bit about the win for me is the start of the season my youngest son who is passionate goes to bed half time we are winning wakes like it’s Christmas to watch kayo mini game and we lose.
The last two weeks up at 7am the joy and pride makes my heart sing.
I’m looking forward to tomorrows 7am smile and fist pump

Just curious.. for those who wanted Weitering and Cripps traded- what are your thoughts on this now? Genuinely interested. Not wanting to start an argument but just curious what you're thinking now.

Weitering controlled that backline tonight like a boss. Calm, composed, great marking and great peeling off at the right times. And the speed of the game absolutely hasn't gone past Cripps. It all comes down to system and I think those who were writing them off may slowly be coming around to that realisation that coach and game plan was holding us back. Because it's not only the lift from these two. The kicking across the board has been better because we have more time and space to kick from the harder running and taking the game on. That game style of taking it on allows attributes of players to shine rather than turning them into robots who lose hope and confidence.
We ask for forgiveness.

In all seriousness I think the key here is not being reliant on the leaders - Cripps and Weiters etc to the extent we have in days gone by…

We have our leaders, we have our core of solid players ie Walsh Cerra hewett Newman McKay florent Haywood etc complimented by the youngsters Ison, Dean, Smith, Wilson, Byrne, Moo - all firing… that what we wanted.

Reliance on the leaders is what has killed us

Who knows where this all ends up, but I was confident all week we could win.

We are as injury free for as long as I can remember and beginning to play good footy, and up against a side we have played well against recently. We are also never as bad as a 1-8 side and coached by a diabolical dimwit in AFL coaching terms.

Seems the focus with Fraser as been keep the pressure up and the rest will follow. We were the worst pressure side in the comp under vossy, and we have ramped that up a long way since.

Just little things about our planning like kick ins and other setups seem a lot better.

I think vossy was just about vibes and “contest”

Partially true I think. I think what killed us up to this point was have a coach who felt the noose around his neck and coached accordingly. His self preservation rubbed off on the group and it became a self fulfilling prophecy. Allowing us more freedom to attack has rejuvenated us not only on the offensive end but also defensively our intent to cut off angles has massively improved as they have confidence and hope back. This isn't all on the leaders IMO.

It is good to see us get some reward. The second half against Brisbane gave us a glimpse of what the team can do if they did it for 4 quarters.

Maybe our recruiters are not so bad. There is plenty of talent.

Billy Wilson is getting better every game. Talor Byrne has a fair crack. He runs and chases. With a couple of off-seasons in the gym, he will be sticking those tackles.

And guys like Hayward and Ainsworth with massive self belief. Killers. And a few big personalities.

Looks a different club.

So much better than having players who were clearly moping around like we did have.

I'm happy to call it. Voss lost me with the ridiculous selection calls for the elimination final against brisbane when he dropped all the young blokes and played docherty and others with no lead up form. Ridiculous obsession with contested football which we couldn't pkay for 4 quarters. No plan B everZ Then suddenly we win 3 games with an untried coach. It was never the players. It was always Voss. He tried his best but was disgraceful they didn't have the fortitude to sack him after last year

no plan B lol. That is why the game plan has been changing all season, and especially in the past 6 weeks when Vossy was still the coach.
