I think some forgot how good a fit Acres can be. Yeah warts and all, but courageous athletic beasts that run all day don't grow on trees.

Acres is the hardest two way runner in the team. It's an indictment that Voss wasn't playing him

Shout out to Dean destroyed Caddy.

Really good positioning from the young lad. Even when it looked like Caddy had space, Dean was close enough to be able to contest if he needed to and Essendon knew it. Lots of bellyaching in the commentary box about the Bombers players ignoring him, but Dean forced him wide and stayed close enough to ensure he was simply not a good target.

I'm getting old maybe, but at one stage in the last quarter Dean took a defensive mark and gave it off to Wilson.
Straight away in my mind I thought "Dean to McKay (the Vet).
Great signs from both tonight, although I do wish that Billy would kick more.
Byrne is showing good signs.
Ainsworth and Haywood probably didn't have their best 4 quarters but geez they nail their moments.
Kemp drove me mad most of the night, then pulls out that kick!
Gov has really gone off the boil but he had some good moments.
