The next step for Stan would be to swallow up the Bein content. Unite the tennis grand slams that they already have with the ATP and WTA tours from Bein. Pick up all the other soccer leagues that Bein has to go with the PL and European competitions. Then it would be worth having Stan all year round instead of for a couple of months for the Champions League only.

Stan have picked up the WTA on a sub license from Bein. C'mon Stan take all the Bein content like Foxtel used to, you know you want to.

If they did that would certainly soften the price blow.

Assuming they don't increase it, that is.

A-Liga remains on 10/P for another 3 years until the end of the decade

Stan should purchase beIN Sports with beIN Sports content on Stan Sport. Having LaLiga, Bundesliga, SPFL and Serie A alongside EPL and UEFA comps will be a win

BeIN is a standalone service with their own app. They sublicenced WTA rights earlier this year

Bein is owned by Qatar..

No shock here. Would also like to see the French League have a broadcaster

Surely kayo is making enough these days to justify trying for the PL.
Do you really want to go back to Foxtel? Aren’t the DAZN crew already indicating they’re not interested in paying AFL the same amount next time

Dunno, and if they lose afl their subscription base halves.

With no AFL/NRL what's the point of Foxtel? Do DAZN realise this?
I think they still want those two, but think Foxtel paid way overs on both. AFL's ever growing TV rights, like EPL etc, cant keep growing forever. Can anyone else match what they paid? They don't see the value in something without an international market is my understanding. More interested in F1, Golf, UFC...

That’s true but they also pay too much for the rights already, so when each new deal comes around and the AFL/NRL say they need more money it will inevitably get to the point DAZN will say no. Channel 9/Channel 7 are also already losing money on their end of the deals as well. Cricket and Tennis deals are in the same boat. All of our top rating shows each year are sports but they’ve become so overpriced TV networks lose money overall on them.

The next NRL rights deal looks like it will either be split between DAZN/Channel 7/Channel 10/Amazon to try and split the costs or entirely on Channel 9 with the majority of games paywalled on Stan.

Australian sports TV rights are essentially a bubble that will burst at some point at their current rate.

Sports in general is a bubble waiting to burst but no idea what happens when it does. Does each sport set up its own streaming? Or do they all consolidate back onto a fox sports equivalent and just accept what they can get?
