Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Nick 'the Wizard' Watson!

As Matthew Lloyd said this morning, everything he does is fantastic, Watson has created an issue with his goal kicking, resolves that and we have one of the game's premier small forwards. Some of his intercept work yesterday was brilliant, although there was one he should have makred (juggling...

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

What has really impressed me with our ball movement is the handballs, seems everyone is aware where their teammate is, and when in trouble can flick off a handball and create more space.

Welcome Welcome to the Hawks Jack Scrimshaw

Not sure how Mitchell found the key but this guy is playing his best football at the club (and career). In the game yesterday, if he was in the vicinity it was nearly Brian Lake like vibes (little bit of mayo) but as supporters you surely understand. What is missed is that he was a top 10 draft...

Autopsy Round 14, 2024 : Hawks skin Tigers

Some of Sicily's kicks tonight were ridiculous, but Newk was playing with a different ball all game, clean hands, no fumbles and picked good options.

Finally a goal, very slow qtr.

She's a bit Dusty, but I think we and the rascal pack can do it for CJ!!

    Preview Round 14, 2024 : Richmond v Hawthorn, 4:35pm Sat 15th June MCG

Outside of Mitch Lewis, is this not our best side? Close to best side, playing with confidence and flair, they will have their moments but I am confident we will get the chocolates.

    Preview Round 14, 2024 : Richmond v Hawthorn, 4:35pm Sat 15th June MCG

Wasn't really referring to Dusty, although he isn't the same player without his handbag (Kane Lambert) playing his defensive role. Will have his dangerous moments but emotion only runs so far. It was more the return of Prestia (who appears to be out once more with a muscle tear) and the...

    Preview Round 14, 2024 : Richmond v Hawthorn, 4:35pm Sat 15th June MCG

Bolta has tunred into the new Rance, curtail his influence and we should go alright. Bringing in old hacks sounds great on paper, but will run out of puff when our young guns turn the heat up.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Nick 'the Wizard' Watson!

Without sounding disparagingly, he just looked arrogant out there.

Seems like a real B team tonight. For such a big game, poor effort by channel 7. Although, if Matt Hill wasn't in America, would be a perfect opportunity.

Nearly feels like the Tigers have been stock piling their players for Dusty's 300th.

Can't believe the dogs aren't applying pressure to him, every time he has space or time he nails the kick. It is like they concede for him, amazing.

That was interesting wasn't it, instead of accepting what happneded, looked to blame others (think Howe copped the spray).

Apart from JHF, their hyphenated players are bog average.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Pick 7, Cam MacKenzie, extends to 2026!

Had my doubts but like many, you can see he is about 2 years away with a strong fitness base. His ability to consistently hit the scoreboard is quite impressive.

If things don't change it would be a club wide issue, it was the current board that brought in RTB. Can they fesh up and own the mistake or will club politics demand a reshuffle or new board? Who else becomes canon fodder or collateral damage? Wilderness beckons.

I don't see much of Freo but I am bewildered at some of the ordinary players on their list.

I blame Aish for that goal, prior to that he had 4 turn overs, just add one more.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Nick 'the Wizard' Watson!

Richo is not renowned for great comments but he said the same thing, kid just needs to slow down and realise he has more time on his hands to execute the next play.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Jack Ginnivan!

I do understand this and it is very noticeable, but is he applying a blinkered approach and at risk of missing a quick opportunity to get the ball out?

This is another great goal, fend off, one hand gather, made the defende look ordinary.

    Preview Round 11, 2024 : Hawks v Lions, 1:10pm Sunday 26th May, Marvel

I fear an emotional drop and the Lions don't mind Marvel. Phillips stays to release Sicily, we have to test these two in the same backline.

Jacinta Allan - 49th Victorian Premier.

I used to work at the Dept of Transport, we had rail network maps for the next 30 + years, detailing all future projects. This white elephant was never included, wasn't even an idea from the planning division. Whether it is something that will be a key transport piece in 50 years is unknown...

    Game Day Round 9, 2024 : Hawks v Saints, 1:45pm UTAS

I understand your comment but all the stats from the Swans game suggested we were getting the ball. So effectively we have played 2 consistent games in a row, our form and confidence is returning. Essentially, we should win today and continue trending in the right direction.
