FYI, Marvel staff receive the same flat rate no matter the day of the week. It’s actually a great job, although patrons like you (thankfully few and far between) do tend to ruin it a little bit.
But also not really; Giants had won the previous two meetings down at Skilled (or whatever we call it these days), and Geelong basically don’t have a midfield at the moment. It was kinda surprising that GWS were such long odds.
Direct from a family member. I think he’s okay with it now, but from what I’ve been told the events of trade period last year were not in line with the story that he was initially sold.
Nankivell saying, with a straight face, “when they go low, we stay high” (or along those lines) was the motivating factor in me voting for Gowers. I wasn’t going to bother voting prior to that. Unbelievably tone deaf statement.
If you’re referring to having white logos on the front of their guernseys, then by my count I believe it’s only Adelaide, Carlton and Essendon.
Just to clarify, I’m absolutely fine with our guernsey, our sponsors and their logos. I just happened to notice all the white logos in that photo of...
It’s interesting that the Melbourne Storm guernsey is smothered in logos, but they are all (in this example at least) in white, rather than their true colours. It does make them slightly less of an eyesore.
Thought I read somewhere that it was voted on by three of Dear’s 1991 premiership teammates. The names escape me, as does where I might have read that!
Not sure when this injury supposedly occurred, but Jai played golf on Monday and I wouldn’t have thought the club would allow that with a fractured scaphoid.
I personally like the Southern Terrace as I like to sit behind the goals/in a pocket, and that's the Hawks cheer squad end. I will say though that all the terraces feel somewhat like "temporary" stands, so the Carlton Draught Stand is better from that perspective. Avoid the Eastern Terrace...
The MCG car park is closed to the general public for all games this round (according to their website). It’s only open to accredited and disability permit holders.
I enjoy a lot of your posts, but you really seem to have trouble admitting when you’ve stuffed up.
We all hate Essendon, but your gif was the equivalent of cheering an injury at a game, and then trying to back out of it by claiming it was about the team, not the player.
Will also go down as the first Oz skipper in a bloody long time to win/retain an away Ashes series, but I guess we can all choose which way we want to frame things.
My partner and I received our letters today, Bramble and Callow. Looking at the Burgoyne letter above it would seem that each player’s letter has been written differently which is a nice touch.
Loved Mitch Lewis’ game yesterday. He has never played more than 6 consecutive games at AFL level. Here’s hoping he can get in a big pre-season and a really consistent run of games next year.
