Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Calsher Dear! Rising star nom!

Loved the cheer that went around the ground when he took that first mark as well!

Autopsy Round 8, 2024 : Hawks leash the Dogs

I’d like to go on the record and say that I would still genuinely despise him. He’s beyond being saved, even by brown and gold.

    Preview Round 7, 2024 : Hawks v Swans, 4pm Sunday 28th April, MCG

I’m not too sure if the same seating map would apply for that game as it’s the Dogs home game. Although, the cheer squad was up the Coventry end for the game against North last week (their home game), so maybe…

    Preview Round 7, 2024 : Hawks v Swans, 4pm Sunday 28th April, MCG

Should be up the Coventry end based on this (ridiculous how hard it is to find this info on the clubs website!)

Autopsy Round 6, 2024 : Hawks skittle Roos

FYI, Marvel staff receive the same flat rate no matter the day of the week. It’s actually a great job, although patrons like you (thankfully few and far between) do tend to ruin it a little bit.

    Fixture 2024 Official Fixture Whinge

Hmm interesting, the Hawks Insta has Richmond in Round 23 at Marvel, but the website has it at the MCG. Hopefully (surely) the website is correct.

    Fixture 2024 Official Fixture Whinge

From a reserved seat member point of vote, it’s a shame that we’ve lost another MCG home game. Only 5 now.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn, Chad Wingard. 200 games! Announces retirement (2 Sept 2024)

I think (from his Insta stories) that he’s out of the cast, and now into the moon boot as of a few days ago?

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn, Chad Wingard. 200 games! Announces retirement (2 Sept 2024)

At this point I’m mainly hoping that we offer him a new contract because you’re so doggedly adamant that we shouldn’t.

Lachie Schultz on the right? I think they knew exactly what they were posting 😉

No Oppo Supporters General AFL discussion and other club news - Part 9

But also not really; Giants had won the previous two meetings down at Skilled (or whatever we call it these days), and Geelong basically don’t have a midfield at the moment. It was kinda surprising that GWS were such long odds.

    Preview Round 10, 2023 : Hawks v Eagles, UTAS 1:10pm, Sunday 21st May

A photo of the barcode should work. I work at Marvel and have scanned barcode photos previously.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Karl Amon!

Direct from a family member. I think he’s okay with it now, but from what I’ve been told the events of trade period last year were not in line with the story that he was initially sold.

    News Hawthorn AGM 2022

Nankivell saying, with a straight face, “when they go low, we stay high” (or along those lines) was the motivating factor in me voting for Gowers. I wasn’t going to bother voting prior to that. Unbelievably tone deaf statement.

News Hawthorn and Adidas part ways in 2022…what next?

If you’re referring to having white logos on the front of their guernseys, then by my count I believe it’s only Adelaide, Carlton and Essendon. Just to clarify, I’m absolutely fine with our guernsey, our sponsors and their logos. I just happened to notice all the white logos in that photo of...

News Hawthorn and Adidas part ways in 2022…what next?

It’s interesting that the Melbourne Storm guernsey is smothered in logos, but they are all (in this example at least) in white, rather than their true colours. It does make them slightly less of an eyesore.

Autopsy Round 18, 2022: Hawks pluck Eagles

Thought I read somewhere that it was voted on by three of Dear’s 1991 premiership teammates. The names escape me, as does where I might have read that!

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn : Jai “Duke” Newcombe - 2024 Peter Crimmins medalist - extends to 2032!

Not sure when this injury supposedly occurred, but Jai played golf on Monday and I wouldn’t have thought the club would allow that with a fractured scaphoid.

    Preview Round 6, 2022: Hawthorn v Sydney Swans, 25 April 2022, 12.30pm @ York Park

I personally like the Southern Terrace as I like to sit behind the goals/in a pocket, and that's the Hawks cheer squad end. I will say though that all the terraces feel somewhat like "temporary" stands, so the Carlton Draught Stand is better from that perspective. Avoid the Eastern Terrace...
