Shirking multiple contests in Q2 knocked him down a few pegs but came good along with others. You don't think IQ was worth a vote? Bloke was unbelievable, a stiff 2nd best behind JDG IMO.
WRFL umps are at the lower end of the pay scale compared to other major leagues though.
A few examples of premier division field ump rates last year:
GVFL - up to ~$200 depending on 2/3 ump system (not including travel allowances)
VAFA - $171
EDFL - $164
WRFL - $150.30
SFL - $149
EDFL and...
Most of us say we want these clubs to survive and improve. Discouraging players from going there can entrench the problem, particularly while there's no juniors coming through. You sound pretty level-headed; a few more like-minded guys join you and it could be exactly what they need.
Absolute nonsense that the premiers still have this option. Let them stay if and only if Sunshine don't want to come down. History says a team forced to stay up often gets decimated.
Deliberate out of bounds is much, much older than out on the full. It's almost as old as the game itself. Unless you're talking about the ordinary insufficient intent rule which definitely needs changing.
Brown hasn't played AFL since 2014, and I can't recall him playing anywhere else. Calculator suggests he'd be worth 1?
Tippett also out of AFL too long. 5 points for VFL, possibly 6 if he's considered as coming from Districts (nominated club last year).
Not sure how successful you'll be using Google's definition. Neither council nor the road rules mention houses or buildings. But do let us know how you get on.
Google Maps current travel times from Town Centre Oval:
EDFL Premier - Keilor 15 min. Every other ground at least 21, up to Glenroy and Greenvale 27.
WRFL Div 1 - DP/St Albans 9, Sunshine/Albion/Spotty all 20 or under, Werribee the most at 27.
The geographical argument is bogus.
Glad you said it. The ability to make amendments is also a rule, as already mentioned.
Querying whether the Div 1 component is applicable, which is all I did, is different from outright rejecting it. Why would I be talking about possible amendments otherwise? Same competition isn't considered...
My club? Heaven forbid an independent observer has an opinion on the subject.
If that's what went down last year, that's ordinary, but we're now talking about this particular player. We're both speculating on why he's 3 points, but you're the one taking the underhanded angle (and I can...
AFL Victoria's own rules provide guidelines for when discretionary amendments can be made. On the face of it, the rule isn't there for cases like this, which is exactly why it's open to amendment. You don't want blokes missing out on opportunities because the system is too rigid. As for level of...
You may well be right on the club being considered Div 1 at the time of the transfer, I didn't say I was certain. Regardless, the rules quite clearly say that points can be amended by the league based on playing history and various other circumstances. I don't know anything about the player's...
