Agree with that, but its a bit like the argument about Sydney in the 90's until recently with the home jumper always being worn with red shirts, whether playing home or away...because the jumper was predominantly white the AFL deemed it ok to only wear 'dark' red shorts. Melbourne should be ok...

As shown in the photo on the last page, AFL sides have long worn track jackets in warm ups, in the 1990's it was particularly popular for all teams to run out in a track jacket. These days only some players, usually those on the bench wear them, but I don't know why there is a distinction...
