18 years of rebuilding has taken us from one of the hardest toughest teams to right now the softest I have ever seen. every 5 years the team becomes even softer, more outside to the point the players can't even tackle.
Still soft as butter, getting soft players like Zaharakis was, Parish, Merrett, Shiel, Heppell, Cutler, Ridley actually 80% of the players are or all the players Essendon have recruited for a decade now really shows. Toughness comes naturally you can't train it into them. They are all skinny...
Just because a club is crap they shouldn't hand out picks. Get the recruiting and development right by having the right people, Father sons are awesome for all clubs, when you get a good one like Brisbane are about too good on them. Priority picks are plain wrong.
For me Scully is the interesting one, a player at 204cm who can kick and read the ball in the air. But Essendon is a mess, so why not just take the best available. Sad when watching the draft is more enjoyable than watching the spuds playing at Essendon.
Sadly for Essendon fans, Dodoro is more loved than all the Essendon players as they are all weak soft, front-running squibs. Otherwise injured, overweight or just leave. Dodoro has Bomber supporters hypnotized.
20 years of Dodoro, looking back what he has done has been horrendous.
Name all the Essendon players who are having a better season than Brodie. Clearly helps improve the team, we have played Ham, Smith, Shiel, Stringer on 1 leg, Cuttler, Hobbs in a pocket pretty bad to watch, He allows McGrath to go back instead of try and play the game Brodie actually does really...
How was he missed, took 1 practice game and Essendon supporters were up and about with him kicking 4, the St Kilda game getting 16 poss in a half, then 5 goals vs Geelong. How can talent like this slip through. Essendon hasn't picked a player this good with all it's top 10 picks in many years...
