Allow the supposed lesser teams (NZ and SA in particular) the opportunity to play a flood of longer series (at least 4 tests long) and I guarantee that they can put up a better show than India and in particular England can.

As long as England can't produce champion batsmen and bowlers (say 50+ avg with the bat and 25- with the ball) like the other nations, they will always be struggling.
