You accuse people of believing the utter shit that is the media when you yourself are believing the AFL's nonsense when it's as clear as day that Melbourne were tanking.

I would have waited a bit longer but this isn't that bad of a move, just risky. The people at North seem to have some good faith in Scott so I hope it works out well for them.
It's probably one of the more forgettable Grand Finals, might be due to the fact no team(s) last year stood out from the rest. Average year, average final series.
Dorner actually had a leg to stand on.. too soon? Anyway the cops in LA are horrible and I wouldn't be surprised if his story was actually quite justified but I'll save my personal opinion for a later date.
I actually wonder if this was intentional since you don't shoot someone 4 times unless...
I'd say it's a reasonable outcome and I don't think the AFL is too worried about Melbourne's draft picks since they all manage to turn out as duds anyway. Not to mention they are gonna have a terrible stigma associated with the club which might turn away players if they haven't already.
Great to see this thread back, looking forward to the 2013 season. Whoever makes the NAB Cup final may give a bit of an insight to who we should watch this year.
- Everyone plays each other once and swap home grounds each year (So if Richmond play West Coast at the MCG, next year they play at Subiaco).
- One week break in the midseason where nobody plays.
- Keep the finals series as it is.
This is what I think would be best.
Because we have new players, additional coaching staff and back up if one of our star players go down (though they won't be as good) - not to mention the fixture has been good to us so you can bookmark it Richmond will be making finals in 2013.
No matter how this situation ends it will be an indictment to the LAPD cops that they will do whatever it takes to take down a criminal, even if it means harming civilians. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still alive and found a way to escape given the training he's had.
