Mid East Israel declare war after Hamas attack II

30 years is a long time. And the promises weren't kept (both sides) very soon after. What did you think about the stipend part? Hamas has been fantastic for Netenyahu (prior to Oct 7). No one expects Israel to do anything with genocidal statements heading their way. A united Palestinian group...

Mid East Israel declare war after Hamas attack II

I'd suggest overtures that cover a willingness to disarm, condemn violence, commit to an end of stipends to terrorism, acceptance of an Israeli state would go a long way to putting pressure on the Israelis to come to the table.

Scandal Joel Smith (Melbourne): Cocaine trafficking accusation

Clearly the only sensible decision from here is to strip Collingwood of the premiership

Free Agency James Jordon [Joins Sydney as UFA]

To this day, i still scratch my head as to why we couldn't find a way to get him on the field at some point in the 21 GF.

    AFL 2023 - AFL Round 6

So Melbourne have dropped T. Mcdonald, and our forward line has only Van Rooyen as our only tall (although both Gawn/Grundy in this week). Lever and Hibberd are both back in the team. IMO there is a 50/50 chance Petty will start forward again. On 365 you can currently get $29 for 2 goals, $201...

    AFL 2023 - AFL Round 3

Horse may have bolted already on the odds, but Harrison Petty spent a bit of time yesterday training with the forwards. Gawn and T-McDonald out, with only Van Rooyen replacing, so it's conceivable he could spend some time there.

Discussion Ultimate Footy merging with AFL Fantasy

Very disappointing news - I'll miss the site. Hard to fathom given the huge interest in fantasy sports these days that there is not a viable alternative. I won't miss the people running the site though. Such poor communication, and treat their users (many of them paid) with real disrespect with...

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Good luck to the kid. I'll be very interested to see what position he ends up playing in the long-term.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

I would suggest some in this thread need to settle down, a long way to go with trade week (month?). It's likely the deal can't get done until other pieces are put in place first. Freo want 13 and F1 Melb want 7ish and F1 I think history will show that it will be done for something in the...

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Just because they don't currently have a top 10 draft pick, doesn't mean they won't be able to get one (if their motivation is there)

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Not sure i understand your logic. I think we can all think of trades where a pick was traded that wasn't there before the trade period started. I recall a time we were trying to get Steven May, but it would only be for a top 10 pick, which we didn't have. Luckily one found it's way into our lap....

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Pick 2 not on the table but Eagles have “air of confidence” in luring Jackson I haven't heard the audio (so there might be some editorial license involved), but the write up certainly paints more enthusiasm from WC than suggested

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Anyone would think Jackson is a shoe-in to go to West Coast, such is the vitriol directed to him from Fremantle fans.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

I'd be astonished if he hasn't been carrying an injury the past few weeks. I suspect that will come out shortly.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Well firstly i think he'll be in Freo colours next year. But if he was to stay, it might be more about the clubs not being able to get a deal done, rather than him simply changing his mind.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Nothing concrete said, just Gary Lyon passing on a whisper that he might be in line for a 2 year extension at the Dees. But it didn't come from the club.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Sam Edmund trade update on SEN today: Luke Jackson (Melbourne) “West Coast believe they’re still in the hunt for Luke, so we cannot rule out the Eagles. “Fremantle are seen to be the frontrunner there, that might still be the case, but the Eagles maintain they’re still in the race for the...

Autopsy AFL 2022 Round 21 - Demons v Pies Fri Aug 5th 7:50pm EST (MCG)

I reckon Langdon's right (and his comments are entertaining) - but i can't help think i'd prefer if it came out of the mouth of another team's player on the eve of the game

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Is he still a chance of staying? According to Gawn "I'm pretty confident he's going to be a Melbourne player still and I know that's very far from what the consensus is out in the media."

    David Mundy

I just assumed he'd keep playing on for at least another year or two given how effective a player he still is. What a gun, a loss to the AFL.

I personally think each premiership would take x% of the bitterness away. Not make it harder.

I'm fairly confident that had Charlie taken a taxi home that night instead, he'd be wearing red and blue. Sliding doors moment!
