NO TROLLS Hawthorn Racism Review - Sensitive issues discussed.

Reading the article this morning made me feel physically sick. This is some dark, distressing, sickening stuff. Clarkson and Fagan should be removed from the sport and never to be seen again. Everyone at Hawthorn who allowed this to happen should also be removed. AFL cant sweep this under...

MCG: When is a sellout not a sellout?

You have 3 separate stadiums in one really. 27,000 MCC, 18,000 AFL and 55,000 General Public you need everything to go right to hit capacity. A sell out the media refer to might just mean general public which is about 55% of capacity.

GWS is the AFL's biggest problem - not North, GC, or Tassie

They drew 7.7k v Essendon on weekend. Why would they then move that game to the SCG? They couldn’t even half fill the 24,000 ground they call home. If they want a bigger stadium and god knows why, there is a white elephant next door that holds 80k. Such a huge brain fart from the Chairman...

GWS is the AFL's biggest problem - not North, GC, or Tassie

The branding and everything about the GWS doesn’t represent anything about the area they’re from. AFL came in hard and cocky about the move West and I don’t think that’s help grow the franchise. Homebush is a waste land. Outside one off major events at the Olympic Stadium it’s a terrible area...

Collingwood-Richmond, is it a one way or two way rivalry?

Couldn’t care about Collingwood. I’d say Carlton is a major rival for Richmond. Geelong because they’re involved in 17, 19, 20 finals.

Essendon looked to have it..... definitely have good signs for future. Umps were s**t everywhere this evening. Richmonds forward pressure not what it was but can’t be annoyed at that last 10min

    Crowds a concern

    1. Pandemic still has people cautious of crowds 2. Free Membership seats that you redeem via ticketek are spitting out back rows of top deck of Southern Stand when next to no seats have been sold in membership pre-sale. 3. Prices have gone through the roof. $65 to sit behind goals level one. It...

News Richmond's Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones arrested after brawl outside strippers bar

Send them both home, fine them and end their 2020 season. Absolute joke these two. 100k people are forking out a lot of money (which a lot of people don't have atm) for nothing other than the love of the club to have these idiots deliberately break the rules, go to a strip joint whilst a large...

Opinion Bring back normal length quarters or leave them as they are?

2020 will be a year of who can play chess the best. Pretty much like Soccer, arm wrestle in the middle of the park before breaking and taking your chance. Last night was exactly like a 0-0 draw. Two good defensive sides cancelled each other out. With only around 95min game time it's going to...

The West Coast Eagles are changing their team song

First thing I thought of when I heard it was the early 00s Telstra We are Australian TV ad. Good for a promotional thing for memberships, marketing etc. As a theme song it's terrible. Really really bad.

MCG tenants on Grand Final day

The Crows had scoreboard graphics, LED boards had black crows flying around, and this crow sound bite played when they kicked a goal in 2017. Pretty sure West Coast and Collingwood had the same thing last Grand Final. GWS had orange graphics on LED boards when they ran out and pre match +...

MCG tenants on Grand Final day

Just like the scoreboard/LED boards had GWS graphics and was bright orange at the three GWS goals, when they walked out onto the ground and at each break the boards were in Giants colours at the city end.

The MCC reserve holds about 27k. Its always been split in half between walk up (scan MCC membership card / first in best dressed) and reserved seat holders. You cant buy tickets on game day for MCC. Walk up is included in their full (non restricted) membership. Not sure how the new restricted...

For the Richmond v Brisbane game the MCC have opened bays Q37 to Q40 for General Public GA. They rarely do this for AFL matches. This game must have a large amount of GA tickets pre purchased.

Richmond still premiership favourites for 2019?

Games v West Coast and Brisbane will tell in last two rounds. West Coast I have pencilled as a loss. Brisbane have one win v Richmond since 2004 and that was 10 years ago. History isn't on their side in the fixture but who knows this year.... win them two matches and then they'd be deserved...

Richmond Tigers Song - Non Lyrics / Instrumental

R1 they played 2 versions of the song. The posh rubbish one we used until July as we ran out and then the Posh reworked (added horns) we used after the bye until last round at final siren. Apparently the club are going to get the fable singers for Rd 2 v Pies.

Play Nice 2019 Non AFL Admin, Crowds, Ratings, Participation etc thread

It's a major issue with English Football at the moment. Out pricing their target audience from attending matches. More so the PL clubs. Some clubs expect to pay $100 plus a ticket. The tourist £££ is more value than a local family who have supported the club through generations.

0 9 Auckland crowds nose dived last couple games (low as 4k) mainly due to playing at North Harbour stadium (due to expensive rent at Eden Park) which is a good 35min bus ride out of the city and where the failed NZ Knights played. Think good form, media blitz, excellent stadium deal with Eden...
