Unfortunately he is surplus to requirements now. Literally needs everything to go right for him to realise his potential which is far too risky for us.
Wish him all the very best, it is a massive shame.
Love the guy.
Meanwhile Aaron Mooy continues to do the business for Brighton - a genuine shining light.
Only wish we had another dozen players of his quality then we might actually have a decent national team.
Friggin depressing how little top quality football players this country is currently producing...
On Biggy, the club invests a considerable amount of time & effort into the kid then wont match a mid-50's pick?
Wish him all the best and maybe the Tiges can turn him into something but it's a telling moment.
The club obviously knows the player and does not rate him - at all.
Not going to lose...
Happy to get Bennell as long as he is our version of the Bubble Boy and not allowed anywhere near our young playing group, it could work out.
Still remember him cutting us up a few years ago at Marvel when he was playing with GCS and wishing we had a player like him.
Firstly, it is Ryder's durability then it's the time Max will take to develop and assuming he stays fit.
In order to improve we need to find another 2 goals a game so we need an additional 60 goals out of those guys.
Just seems a little tenuous at the moment.
Gotta say I'm a little nervous about the Bruce move. It feels a little premature.
We struggle to kick a big enough score as it is so I guess we are betting we can cover or better his 40 goals via a combination of Ryder, Marshall, Battle & Max.
So
In: Hill, Ryder & Howard, 3rd rounder 2020 & maintained our first next year as dry powder for Bing
Out: Pick 6, Acres, Steven 2nd & 4th rounder 2020.
Guys, ignoring the Stuv reaming which was seemingly unavoidable, that's a win.
If you had offered that at the start, assuming Stuv's...
We are a struggling side, who just lost a 4x BnF and genuine match winner in the prime of his career for peanuts. We all have massive sympathy for Stuv, he has been the heart and soul of the team for years. We are grieving the loss of him to the club. Is that ok with you?
Of course on a...
I reckon we should too.
The only thing is you will hear the howling from the media & public at how terrible we are not looking after him.
We are in a total no-win situation.
The whole Stuv situation is a disaster.
Cats are getting a terrific player for nothing and they know it while making out they're doing everyone a favour. Kents.
Tears the arse outta me.
Ben King will be a saint, it is inevitable. Resigning makes complete sense. Takes the pressure off him, gives him a safety net if the Hill trade becomes super expensive, making it difficult for us to do a deal in 2020. Only 2 years and contracts mean little.
Wouldn't be surprised if it was done...
We've been their bunnies for so long I cannot remember having genuine hope for this fixture but we are in this game up to our eyeballs.
Win it, Ratts is a lock and we should have a realistic eye on finals.
Lose it, we switch focus to next season.
It is that simple IMO.
Logged in late in the 1st and had to rub my eyes when I first saw the scoreline, thought it was the other way around.
Bloody sterling effort from the boys.
Clark is going to be a star.
