I feel this has been covered in news articles and I'm not sure it really counts, especially not as prodigal lol. He was never going to play for that club
I don't mean to be crass but did the designers think about this jumper before finalising the design? Like the rainbows on front and back meeting on the sides is a very interesting pattern, one which they probably should have tested before releasing.
That might be the opening line, but the closing line literally says Craig Kelly was approached for comment and didn't provide one - so I'm not sure how true it is

Collingwood is proposing an interstate extravaganza in 2024, hoping for a round 1 fixture against Sydney in the Harbour City to kick off the season.
But...
Robbo with the goss. Apparently it's our idea?

A standalone NSW weekend with GWS hosting us Saturday into Swans hosting Dees on Sunday to "open" the season
The report suggests we then get a weekend off...
As someone who follows both codes, I find this perplexing.
My understanding of the NRL's Las Vegas thing - which is what the AFL is supposedly trying to take advantage of - is that it's simply part of a full round. It's just two of the eight NRL games will be played in America, the other 6 will...
AFL.com.au reporting a staggered season start.
GWS v Collingwood and Sydney v Melbourne - both Sydney team home games - played a weekend before the official full Round 1 (including those four teams in different matches).
The four clubs playing that early weekend would then not play in an early...
Hasn't about half the years since 2014 had the stadium (or parts thereof) in redevelopment?
Fixture quirks happen like that all the time - e.g. Carlton not playing in Adelaide for an eon, Sydney not playing Collingwood in Melbourne etc
Sure, but your snide joke aside, they will not schedule a game less than 72 hours after a concert has been on the surface. The stadium and AFL won't recommend it. Simple
Associations like this in any area rarely have high visibility and even then only then when large amounts of people find them useful.
Same way we don't really hear much from Players Associations (IMO anyway) unless it's CBA time
The Melbourne Football Club can confirm that Clayton Oliver was admitted to hospital.
Clayton was transported to hospital via ambulance, following a medical episode.
The hospital completed a number of tests and Clayton has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
The...
Or, players are now on holidays and not required to run their health management by their club. If a player is injured or sick overseas they're not going to wait til they get home, for example
Yeah absolutely no need for them to put out a statement unless something actually has happened. All it would do is give the people/person who started the rumour more notoriety
Throwing a prediction out
Thu 7:20 - RIC v CAR at the MCG
Fri 7.50 - COL v WB at the MCG
Sat 1:45 - NM v WCE at Blundstone Arena
Sat 2:10 - PAFC v BL at Adelaide Oval
Sat 4:35 - GC v STK at Heritage Bank
Sat 7:25 - MEL v GEE at MCG
Sun 1:10 - GWS v SYD at Giants
Sun 3:20 - ESS v HAW at MCG...
I feel like the title of this thread should be more "what is your ideal fixture".
2024 won't be markedly different to 2023 in terms of season structure. They won't be reducing the number of rounds/games. It'll run roughly the same timeline and the byes will be spread of 3 or 4 rounds as per.
My gut feel on this is that they are still trying to figure out when to schedule Brisbane's Saturday prelim. The Broncos have already got Sat night 7:50pm locked in, so its down to whether they want to go head-to-head with that or play it earlier and allow dual-code fans to do both and avoid...
Where the * is the ******* Round 24 fixture? This is getting ridiculous.
Anyway my prediction:
Dogs, WCE, Dees, Hawks, Freo and Port can't be Friday night
FRIDAY
7:50 Essendon v Collingwood @ MCG (7)
SATURDAY
1:45 North Melbourne v Gold Coast @ Blundstone (Fox)
2:10 Sydney v Melbourne @...
This x 100000
Carlton got a free on Friday night when two of their players spoiled each other for which I'm certain the umpire thought was actually a Collingwood player. If you think it's not an issue for players or umpires you're kidding yourself.
And to the Geelong query earlier - that's a...
The maximum contrast for a Collingwood v Carlton game is for Collingwood to wear its home kit, Carlton in its all white clash kit.
Anything else is fanciful.
