    2019 F1 Championship - Round 1 - Australian Grand Prix

All the news articles late Feb stated Ted would be back this year after the social media outcry, what happened? Coverage will be significantly poorer with his absense.

    The Heat....

Second week of Aussie Open and heatwave will ramp up again all week to 40s on Thurs and Fri. Fricken blast furnace.

Bloody hell. Very brief respite this weekend then more of the same all next week. Marble Bar temps everywhere.

    The Heat....

What is it with Melbourne heat waves and the start of the Aussie Open? Looking at Sky News 10 day forecast and from next Monday to Thursday between high 30s and mid 40s. No relief at night either. Bloody hell. Nightmare.

    The Heat....

Just stepped outside for the first time since late this morning, given it is now dark outside. Don't think I've ever experienced 37 degrees in the dark before, bugger me it is hot, feels eerily oven like (without the light on). This cool change cannot come quickly enough.

    The Heat....

Temp probably drop much below 30 degrees until some time Monday arvo, will remain uncomfortably humid and sticky during this time also. Nothing worse than a humid 40+ degree day. If you don't have air con then a fan is a must if you want to sleep tonight.

    The Heat....

Stickier than Beelzebub's bunghole today. Worse, I left all the windows and doors open last night and now the house is about 80% humidity inside. 20 minute walk to shops and back and I was soaked through with sweat, needed a cold shower and change of clothes. Dunno how people live happily in...

    The Heat....

Weather channel long term weather forecast for Melbourne looks brutal. Probably the same or worse for most of the south east. From Australia day onwards 5 days forecast of high 30s low 40s, stinking hot nights, no respite and a nightmare if your abode doesn't have air con. Rain is forecast...

The JUBJUB Memorial Supercars 2017 Thread

Wow. Linda Lovelace McLachlan choked big time, so many mistakes. That will hurt for a long time, and it should. Happy for Jamie, the better driver this weekend won ... poor ol' Linda must be devastated, figuratively shat the bed right in front of Roger himself. Anyone arguing that was not a...

    Formula One in 2017

Feel for Gasly, great to be in F1, but driving a Torro Rosso chassis with a Honda power unit basically means competing with Sauber for 10th and 11th in the constructors championship. He's better than that. Sainz dodged a bullet for now, but if Renault give RBR the arse end of 2018 he'll be...

The JUBJUB Memorial Supercars 2017 Thread

After multiple demotions Greg Rust is finally getting the hint and moving on from V8s on Fox Sports. Typical statement about spending more time with the family, but no doubt he was given the arse. Always got the impression Neil Crompton didn't like him, you could almost hear Crompo cringe when...

    FTA-TV The Deuce

I had high hopes for this given David Simon was leading it, but the name is very apt, HBO have laid yet another Deuce. All style, no substance, high budget, and very reminiscent of Vinyl. One James Franco is bad enough, but we have to suffer through identical Franco twins. Can't believe this...

FTA-TV Late Shows - Mega Thread

Notice this too. CBS better not have pulled it from Ten permanantly. One of their only shows I regularly watch (PVR).

New Fox Sports News Format - Absolute Trainwreck

The "brain surgeons" in charge at Fox Sports have recently changed their format for Fox Sport News, going with a more "dynamic" approach, lots of crosses to boring as dog s**t "live press events" with borderline illiterate footballers regurgitating rehearsed cliches, "witty" on air discussion...

    Formula 1 - Round 7 Azerbaijan (23 June)

LOL, that was nuts. How the hell am I supposed to get to sleep now, 2am and I'm totally wired. Dunno about the spirit of the Shoey, more the spirit of Steven Bradbury. Vettel really is a petulant child, hopefully he gets a points penalty or even better a one race ban for deliberately ramming...

    Formula 1 - Round 7 Azerbaijan (23 June)

ADR is being comprehensively out paced by Verstackin this year, ADR obviously feeling the pressure of being up to half a second down consistently, and subsequently bins it into the wall pushing too hard in Q3. That final Q3 lap by Lew-Lew was nuts, Ferrari had the better car for the first...

FTA-TV Orange is the New Black

Wow. Brilliant season, great writing, great acting, piss funny, tense and dramatic when required, superb cliffhanger ending, had everything. Season four was a return to form, but the riot setting was just the sand box the writers needed to really take it to another level. Kudos, but where...

    Indy 500 2017

Another Indy, more serious crashes, more serious injuries, and the best driver in the sport nearly dies. Cannot believe Dixon walked away from that crash, should have killed him. Nothing to do with "advances in safety", launching into a fence and landing upside down on its wall at around...

    Formula 1 - Round 4, Russia (30th April)

Just got home and watched the IQ'd qualy session, cannot stop laughing at what Johnny Herbet said afterwards. He was talking about Verstackin' being very disappointed after Bahrain, and again very disappointed after Q3, but then got a bit confused and brain farty and said Max should "keep his...

    Movie Deadpool (potential spoilers inside)

I hate all Superhero movies. Can't stand them. They are s**t. All of them. Well, the ones I've been forced to see. Someone told me I'd like this one. I didn't believe them. Begrudgingly watched it last night, knowing absolutely nothing about Deadpool, and very little about X-Men. Wow...

    Formula One in 2017

Pirelli have come out publicly again and warned that racing this season could be far more boring and processional than previous seasons, given the much lower deg tyres and significantly increased aero grip allowed in the new regs. Tyres won't go off at the end of races and the effects of dirty...

    MMA-UFC UFC 207: Nunes v Rousey

Team Rousey better setup a suicide watch schedule, not joking either. If Rousey was telling the truth on Ellen about contemplating suicide post the Holm annihilation, then family, friends and big Trav have to watch her very carefully. About the actual fight, Holly exposed the gaping holes in...

    The Heat....

Gonna be a warm Xmas day, but the week between Xmas and New Year is apparently going to be scorching in Melb. Read somewhere that Jan - March this year is expected to be the hottest on record. The JUBJUB Memorial Supercars 2017 Thread

What will this series look like in 2017? I noticed the V8 moniker has been stripped from the series title, are they even still running V8s next year? Isn't the purpose of dropping V8 from the title an attempt to try to lure more manufacturers? Ironically there may be only two next year if...
