Here's a good idea as to how things are going overseas:

Seems that way. Viewing the game here is tough too, due to AFL being stingy with the TV rights.
I'm surprised so little support is going to established international leagues, like the one we have here in the US.
Thread bump.
It is incredibly frustrating and baffling to see zero interest in Australia in developing our great game overseas.
There are roughly 30 clubs in the USA that play throughout the year, before heading to a nationals tournament that we hold yearly. We're all going to Sarasota...
It was hard enough work just to get the DC skyline on our jersey. But we'll keep the wings in mind for our next design. :)
We just released some training jerseys - we went with more of an "American" look to appeal to locals.
Most Americans don't know of the sport, but they're quite...
Check out the latest article on the Baltimore-Washington Eagles and our great game by a popular Washington news site, DCist.

We're doing our best to promote the game to locals - with zero help from the AFL.
Footy's not over, at least not in the USA.
The USAFL Nationals - the biggest AFL tournament of the year for our league - are being held the weekend of October 15-16 in Sarasota, Florida (location changes each year).
Austin Crows are the reigning Div 1 champs, and are going in again warm...
Footy's not over yet! Less than 2 weeks until the USAFL Nationals in Sarasota, Florida.
We've had a bit of a revival year (after being in the dumps last year). We've jumped from the lowest - Division 4 - to Division 2.
Check out the division listings for the nationals here...
Thanks FiveStrings
Thought it's worth keeping WCE supporters up-to-speed with their club's efforts to develop the game overseas, and the progress of WCE-affiliated clubs around the world.
The Baltimore Washington Eagles are officially affiliated with the WCE in the USAFL, who support us by...
Yes, it is more of a tournament format.
All clubs compete in the nationals tournament in October, played over a weekend, which this year will be held in Sarasota, Florida.
On top of that, each regional conference has their own mini-tournament. New York hosted the eastern regionals tournament...
We have a metro game today actually - 10.30am Bluemont Park, Arlington.
I think probably following our social media (FB and Twitter) is the best way to stay up-to-date with our games.
Living or relocating to Washington DC, or the DC/Maryland/Virginia area?
The Baltimore Washington Eagles - sister club of the WCE - are always on the lookout for new players for both our MEN's and WOMEN's teams.

We've been working to boost exposure of our game and team with local media in the DC. We're also trying hard to pump our social media, and we could really use support from footy supporters and the footy media in general to give us a boost.
League-wide, the USAFL have a media manager - Brian...
Just started this account on behalf of our club, the Baltimore Washington Eagles, to connect with footy fans in Australia and share info on how footy is going in the US.
The USAFL, from my knowledge, doesn't receive a lot of support from the AFL. There are very few full-time staffed positions...
Hi all,
New account of the Baltimore Washington Eagles, hoping to promote footy in the US, and connect with the footy heartlands back in Australia.
The USAFL has been going since the 1990s, with great participation among Americans. Hoping to share updates of our season and developments via...
