There's people that still think the Earth is flat, it's not a big surprise to see a deluded minority. Particularly given how overly-invested people get in this sport (see the book chronicling various EFC supporters that let the doping saga ruin their lives...)
If your support for a footy club is the cause of relationship breakdowns and mental illness you need to seek professional help and detach yourself. It's people kicking a ball around a field.
I'm interested in what Rick's 68 major events are. I wouldn't be surprised coming from an EFC die hard...
Sorry Stu, the answer is yes, you did. Can't believe there are still any players out there that just don't get their responsibility as a professional athlete.
CAS had access to all the material that was available to the AFL ADT.
WADA's submission to CAS inlcuded:
Each player received subcutaneous injections administered by Mr. Dank during the period from January to September 2012. The majority of Players stated they received injections once or week...
Root cause. None of those things you listed caused this. EFC did.
EFC people aren't happy with AFL/ASADA because they didn't get the outcome they wanted. Much easier to focus on that than admit your club failed so badly and then continued to act so poorly for years after.
Agreed. But consider the possibility that the Hird camp are the bullies. Time and time again over the last few years Hird and his supporters have attempted to dominate the situation only to be put back in their place.
Just remember this: Patrick Smith didn't write his article in response to...
Cornes was only discussing Hird and Smith's comments were a direct rebuttal to that. Stating Hird had to be held account doesn't mean others don't as well.
You believe David Evans was not pushed aside?
What else?
Could you please quote the relevant part of Smith's article that states Hird was solely responsible?
What else is wrong with it? You stated much of it was incorrect.
Yep, it's ok for the Hird camp to come out all guns blazing in a coordinated attack, but the minute Patrick Smith puts forward a reasoned counter argument he is attacked mercilessly. Just read some death threats aimed at him. Not very nice, and yet apparently the AFL are bullying....
It does not put Hird entirely to blame. It merely states correctly that his actions have been the most significant contributing factor in him ending up in the place he is today. The article, as most anti doping/EFC/Hird articles have been, is in direct response to an outpouring of utter garbage...
On January 30, Hird text: “No stress but need to organise a meeting with you me Reidy, Danksy and Weapon the day you get back. Reidy has stopped everything which is getting a little frustrating. Need to get your United Nations skills back into action.”
Of course the should be blamed. They took the risk and it failed. They have to be held accountable for their decision to take such a risk. They would certainly be praised if it had come off.
