    West Indies v England Best of 5 T20s Dec 12-Dec 21 2023

Had a bit of a mare today but I think he could be the like-for-like replacement for Roy long term in both ODIs and T20, his spin is handy as a 6th bowling option too.

We need to have a talk about Nathan Lyon taking 500 test wickets

Now confirmed. A pretty frustrating signing from an English perspective given Lancashire have a couple of talented young spinners who will now be getting very little FC game time.

    2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Game 36 England v Australia 4/11 1900hrs @ Narendra Modhi Stadium

Hit him on the knee roll 2-3 feet infront of the crease, seems pretty reasonable that it would be going over.

    2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Game 36 England v Australia 4/11 1900hrs @ Narendra Modhi Stadium

It hit him inside the crease, there was barely any distance left to travel.

2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Game 10 Australia v South Africa 12/10 1900hrs @ Ekana Sports City

The predicting isn't the hard part, it's just extending in a straight line and applying gravity.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Have you got a source on this please?

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

The selective memory here is incredible. Australia were given a ball change multiple times across the series, the most notable of which was at Headingley where it was followed by a sharp increase in movement.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Nothing in the CCTV suggests Stokes was homophobically abusing them. You mean the 1 bouncer that Stokes had insulted and was the only person who got caught lying as part of the court case and had to amend his statement...? Sounds like a reliable witness. Can you back up both these claims...

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Yes, because clearly you know more about what was said than the people's you're claiming he was taunting...

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Do tell us how you worked out he was homophobic from swinging a punch at someone who had just tried to smack a gay couples heads in with a bottle...
  11. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Interesting that you decide to take the word of 2 homophobic thugs trying to smash in peoples heads rather than the people actually being mocked/abused.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

I'd be very shocked if it happened but if we can get all of Wood, Archer and Stone fit and on the plane then it would be massive.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Player of the summer, not series.

What a send off for Broad, top bloke. Can't wait to hear him in the commentary box.

    Excellent grab by Bairstow.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Right, know it'll devastate you all but given people seem to be regularly question my whereabouts thought I'd better let you all know that I'm off for a bit! Wouldn't want you to worry.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

He left his crease to start running after it deflected off his pad. Unfortunately for him it deflected to Pope.
  18. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

He knew that he'd potentially screwed it up. Do don't genuinely think he was 100% certain he'd dropped it then reviewed it hoping they'd completely forget to check the catch...?
  19. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

De Grandhomme was attempting to go for a run (even if there wasn't a run there), it's incomparable. Clearly he wasn't sure if he'd held on to it long enough to constitute a catch today. I don't see how referring that to the third umpire to check is hypocritical.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

No one suggested Bairstow wasn't out legally.

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

When has Stokes found himself as captain in a similar situation to the Carey stumping...?
  22. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

The majority of the outfield doesn't get covered. The playing square does (which was done within a minute of the players walking off in light rain), the run ups do (done within 5 minutes of the players going off) and at the oval they'll cover the practice wickets as well to avoid them getting...
  23. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

The runs given in the WC finals could not be withdrawn/rejected. Reviewing one you're not sure about so the third umpire will consider it is literally what the reviews are there for.
  24. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Yes, they know that covering the areas 30m+ from the playing surface with covers instantly rather than waiting 5 minutes to see if the rain is set in before doing it isn't going to make any difference...
  25. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Oh right, Carey not Starc? I don't see that as questioning his integrity. He was asked what he'd have done in the same position and answered it honestly.
  26. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Yes, they're trying for a sticky wicket by fully covering the wicket within minutes of the players leaving the field... Jeez, grow a brain.
  27. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Which Stokes comment specifically are you referring to here?
  28. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

They were both dropped otherwise they'd have been out.
  29. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

And yet they're still both about the ball being grounded before a fielder is in control of both the ball and their own movement.
  30. A

    5th Ashes Test England v Australia July 27-31 1930hrs @ The Oval

Whether the ball hit the ground in someone's hand or hit the ground after leaving someone's hand has no relevance. It's purely about whether they had control of the ball and their movement before that moment.
