    Training 2022 - 2023 Off-Season and Pre-Season training Watch

Correct, name last player to miss time with a "sprained" ACL.

    Training 2022 - 2023 Off-Season and Pre-Season training Watch

Very skeptical on the ACL strain, can't say I have ever heard that injury before. Hope I am wrong. Can we use the extra list spot to look at replacing Lewis in the short term. Even with Lewis the key forward position stocks are Lewis and Kozi. Worth taking a punt on a VFL type player while...

    Training 2022 - 2023 Off-Season and Pre-Season training Watch

I know it’s still early in the pre season but a couple of questions for the track watches. Has anyone been invited down to train with us yet? Any Box Hill lads? Key positions forwards look a bit thin, has any of the regular backs been spending time with the forward group? Jeka, Scrimshaw seem...

Analysis Hawks 2022 Hypothetical trades (read the pinned post)

I have a feeling we were strongly interested in Stocker in his draft year. Could do worse as a delisted free agent. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Training Summer Footy Fix - 2022 training watch

Are you calling Newcombe a 7 game, 2nd year player a modern day Leigh Matthews? Some of these comments are so laughable. Same goes for the hype about Nash in here. Played 2 half reasonable games proceeded by 20+ games where he was as useless as you can be on a AFL field. Sent from my...

Training Summer Footy Fix - 2022 training watch

Track watchers. How is Max Lynch tracking along? Hopefully he can grab the opportunity early and cement that number 1 ruck spot. IMO Big Boy has declined in the ruck over the last couple of seasons and is more suited to a second ruck/floating forward role. Was a great decision to trade...

Training Summer Footy Fix - 2022 training watch

Do we have any kids who missed out on being drafted/box hill players training with us yet? Looks like we have a couple of lists spots still open. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Strategy 2021 Draft and Hypothetical pick trade proposals

Has there been any updates on Max Lynch. Like the idea of him Reeves future partnership. Are there any whispers out there on links to other players like Jarrod Brander or Charlie Constable. The position we are in as a club it makes sense to have a crack at some younger players from other...

Training 2021 Pre Season training watch

Appreciate that Axeman. Brockman looking good for round 1? Absolutely the type of player we are in need of. Let’s hope Moore and Greaves can kick on from their impressive ends to last season. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Hey Axeman, great report. Any chance you could give us perhaps a top 5 who are burning up the track and are the standouts of the pre season? Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

    Unofficial Preview 2020 Draft Discussion

Couldn't agree more. We were bottom couple of teams in a lot of key midfield stats this year. We need help in there. Phillips is a no brainer to me. Hollands presents a risk with his injury and Perkins may be a bit of a reach. Don't want DGB, I feel our defense is coming along nicely...

Universal Love Hawk's Father Son time capsule

I find this real weird and a little creepy. Talking about potential footballers who can't even walk or talk. Perhaps stick to kids who play football and have actually shown any interest in playing football. How you know ages and names of all ex and current players children is a bit unsettling.

    Unofficial Preview 2020 Draft Discussion

Putting the pieces together I feel we will be left with DGB at pick 5. McDonald seems like he will go #1 JUH bid seems most likely by North which Dogs will match at 2 North then takes Hollands at 3 Swans need talls so take Thilthorpe to pair with academy kid Campbell at 4. Leaving us with...

Prediction Our best 22 for Round 1 2020

Back line pick itself imo, really good mix of talls and smalls and a group of good ball users. Frost will help free up Sicily and Scrimshaw play that 3rd man role. Impy when he returns from injury and the development of CJ add dash. Kosi/Day make it look like a strong group now and into the...

List Mgmt. Hawthorn 2018 Trade discussion NO OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS Part 3

Just mentioned on SEN that we may be looking at Mav Weeler as a delisted free agent. Was also some mention last week in the Age that we were looking at Darren Minchington. Makes sense with the draft picks we have that we may look at a delisted free agent. Both seem like they could be options...

Prediction New player jumper numbers for 2019

Harry gets 5. Scully 8 as he wore 9 at GWS Chad gets 20 his number at Port Scrimshaw 13 Worpel wore number 38 at Geelong Falcons so perhaps its the number he wants.

List Mgmt. Hawthorn 2018 Trade discussion NO OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS Part 3

My feeling towards the Wingard trade are starting to change. if we get Scully and Scrimshaw as cheap as what has been mentioned, I am more then happy to keep Burto and our first round pick if that's what Wingard will cost. Get a quality kid in with pick 15 and focus our attention/cap space on...

List Mgmt. Hawthorn 2018 Trade discussion NO OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS Part 3

100% agree on this. Sicily's rapid development pushed Burto aside. Cant have 2 loose intercept defenders so he was asked to play a more defensive role which he did well but If he stays he needs to go froward IMO.

Next Hawthorn FC Captain - Ben Stratton

Bit of speculation on whether big Rough will be with us next year, even if he does stay i think it may be the right time for him to hand over the captaincy to the next generation. Few options but my choice would be Jack Gunston. I love the leadership he shows when switching between forward and...

List Mgmt. 2016 Trade, Draft and free agency news (no hypothetical trades)

Vickery would be a smart addition imo. Free agent so would cost nothing. Coming into our side he would be just another cog in the forward line to take an occasional contested mark but more importantly compete and bring the ball to ground for our smalls. With Gunston, Sicily, Bruest, Poppy...

List Mgmt. Jed Anderson gone to North for Pick15

I must admit it is sad to see Jed leave but if the whispers are to be believed the club didn't love him as much as us fans. To get pick 15 is a great result all round. Hopefully the kid gets a good shot at that Roos. As for Carslile I don't want him. Hate his attitude and the lack of respect he...

    Preview 1st Preliminary Final, Fremantle v Hawthorn, 25 September 2015, 8.20pm AEST @ Subiaco

How anybody could suggest Lake or Frawley not playing is beyond me. Frawley showed what a defender can do actually playing in defence last night and will get the Pav match up, Lake was the difference between us winning and losing the 2013 GF against virtually the exact same side, he was...
