marcellin beat trinity by 2 or 3 goals. was a good game. trinity did well and fought hard from the start but marcellin just proved too good in the end.

yeah i think that they might b pretty accurate however do marcellin have a full team or not?i think assumption will beat peninsula but it will b close Zaharakis out for marcellin. Apart from that they have a full team.

apart from joyce and trengrove.. who are the other standouts for PEGS?

Fair point, but Marcellin also don't offer sporting scholarships and are a very competitive footy side.

AGS year 10 best from each school

If Ashby's so great, why isn't he at Oakliegh? If he is up there for best in the AGS and is so hard at it surely he'd be at Oakliegh? Seriously, all you boys giving Ashby such a big rap must be from Trinity and or play for Canterberry coz your so far up his ass.

    Marcellin V Ivanhoe

whats there to say, ivanhoe were very ordinary and marcellin played some good football.

AGS year 10 best from each school

in terms of a team, peninsula would definetly contend as the best in the ags year 10 competition, but in terms of the individuals mentioned above, i still confidently say that the likes of Toy and Caddy would still have the upper hand.

im not doubting his skills, but there is no denying he is not hard at it and is infact soft.

mate, ive seen him play plenty of times and hes an outside midfeilder who gets cheap touches. hes as soft as butter.

    Vic Metro U/16's 2008

Josh Caddy making the side even though missing the selection games due to a hand injury. surely a bit of a surprise.

    End of a friendship

I agree that Bolton only has eyes for the ball, but he knew where Riewoldt was, and knew he was pushing his legs up. Therefore he knew that he was putting Riewoldt at risk even though he is doing his job in preventing him getting the ball. So as far as im concerned, it is unsportsman like and is...

    End of a friendship

I don't think you can look too much into that. Essendon and Brisbane, developed a strong rivalry starting after Brisbanes defeat of Essendon in the 2001 grand final. The rivalry was good for football, and the words reguarly exchanged by the coaches before the clubs played, was nothing more than...

That looks like it could be a fairly accurate ladder. PEGS should get the top spot, the next 3 spots, however, could go either way. Pennisula, Marcellin and Assumption, in my view, are fairly evenly matched and the number 2 spot is definetly up for grabs, this should make for a very competitive...

    Best AGS ground

Marcellin and Assumption clearly have the best ovals. Marcellin's would probably have the edge.
  18. R

    Rusling V Riewoldt

Riewoldt is a far more high profile player then Rusling, even then. Also, there was a lot of expectation on Riewoldt that year, captain of club and was set to have a big year. Completely different circumstances and therefore shouldn't be compared.

    Best AGS year 9 footballers

Another one from Marcellin, Jack Newnes. Hes a bit small, but can really play. Great disposal and hard at it. He could be a strong player in the next few years. He was born in 93, so for a bloke playing a year up, shows a lot of promise.

AGS year 10 best from each school

Sam Cust can play, but in my opinion there are others better then him in the comp. Tom Gordon, from Marcellin, has really improved over the last few years was a key player in the Marcellin year 9 side. He is in the Oakliegh under 16 squad and i would imagine be an important player in the...

AGS year 10 best from each school

Carey??? AGS mate. Gaff can play, but does not compare to the likes of Toy and Caddy as we mentioned above. To be honest haven't heard of Chapman and therefore can't comment. From what i have seen of Crocker from Canterberry, he is nothing special, and even if he were in the AGS, would be no...

jessy ashby is very overrated. outside player, soft and will not play makes the 1's for trinity.

    Best AGS year 9 footballers

yeah i would have to agree with you, Josh Toy may have the edge on Caddy at the moment, but Caddy would be gaining on him. Toy has developed very early and was the size of a full grown man at year 7. I assume there would not be much growing left in him. Toy is still big for his age, so is Caddy...

    Agsv Competition 2008

Aaron Tribizio is an absalute freak! could go places. Speedy player, hard at it, great disposal on both feet. Should be very promising. Josh Caddy on the other hand is very over rated. Needs to work harder, lacking fitness and discipline. p.s wouldnt want to toot your own horn.. hey aaron?

Young Panther Chris Varsamarkis has been training down @ TIGERLAND

Back to the subject.. how many d.v players have gotten a gig at an AFL club after 1 year?? 1 in a million.. he is our good mate and i hope he does get the gig. Saul Caddy was actually invited to do a pre-season at Richmond after one year at Heidelberg. He then played for the Bulldogs in the...

Marcellin got done by about 12 goals against PEGS. I think the scores were about 31 - 107. Marcellin stayed with them for a quarter but PEGS were just too good. Marcellin were'nt playing their best footy but were clearly outplayed. Cotchin, Maric, Joyce and Trengrove all lived up to their...

stop tring to talk yarra valley up.. they are no good. Just like every other year. You beat ivanhoe (who are also no good) and you have gotten very ahead of your self. Marcellin played terribly against you and still beat by 100+ points.
