Its obvious we're trying to let him learn to defend. I think at AFL level, its time for him to play Smiths role but even smith still had to defend one on one contests all the time.
He needs to know how to defend regardless of how we want to use him because the opposition will isolate and expose him otherwise. Its a smart move to play him deep in the SANFL even if thats not his role at AFL level. We dont need to teach him how to rebound as hes ready to go in that position.
Fogarty is still a worry when he should be a set and forget player by now. He should be banned from trying to take it on the chest given his poor leg speed.
His weapons look so much more lethal at AFL level than SANFL. A prolonged look at him at this level is badly needed. Him going back to SANFL wont tell us anything anymore so I feel its now or never for him.
Really Murphys role was to apply forward tackle pressure. Berry will probably take that role instead of a midfield one. Parnell to the wing for Sholl, Cook forward for Peds and Nank HBF for Milera.
Well if we’re gonna miss finals at least we’re gonna miss them early so we can stop pretending. This way the pressure goes on the club to actually continue the rebuild
He needs to learn how to defend or he will be destroyed at AFL level. Seems we're playing him where he will learn that the fastest. He already knows how to rebound.
Every game Welsh plays for us this year is going to be so helpful for the next few years. A fast track development will help minimise the Tex Walker sized black hole thats about to hit the club.
The whole point of our SANFL team is to play players where we plan to play them at AFL level. Would be idiotic to play him Midfield when his starting position at AFL level has to be down back.
I thought I saw something about the afl affiliate games being on the AFL website this year but now can’t find where I saw that. Did I dream this or is that happening?
