    season 2009 starts now.

Yeah, I hear that the Saints set up isn't real good. But even ordinary clubs have a few good players every once in a while. Am wondering how any of the mentioned players would go in a decent team?

    Ovens and Murray Part 2

Anyone know if young Chasse Stawhan (not sure of correct spelling) is sticking with Yarrawonga. Leading goalkicker in the 3rds a few years ago, didn't seem to get much of a go in 08. Yarra have picked up a couple of key forwards so I can't imagine Chasse sticking around.

Re: Afl Macakay G'day up there. My club looks like picking up Nathan Horsfall for 2009. I believe he played up that way last year (Swans?). How does he go? What posi is he best suited to? Strengths/weaknesses?

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Mathoura in trouble?!?!?! Strong word coming through that a number of clubs keen on the split. Sounds like the wheels are falling off Pace to Freeze. I guess that is why your meeting is being referred to as a...

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Fair answer SM. :thumbsu: Perhaps the PDFL (and VCFL) should take it as a compliment that NSW Clubs are wanting to come into your comps. From what I have seen and heard, VCFL affiliated leagues are run far...

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Then why did you make a point of highlighting 5 KDFL Clubs within the 65km from Picola. I don't quite get what point you are trying to make there. You're whinging about new clubs coming into the comp over...

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Are there other clubs within the current "boundary" (didn't know there were any boundaries!) that are interested in crossing to the PDFL?

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Thanks. Do you think that the PDFL is expanding in the wrong direction (geographically) and should be heading towards taking in the KDFL Clubs instead?

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Word is - 16 round season. Rennie a top club on and off (I'm biased). Tell me, what clubs are (and are not) part of the Picola District? Geographically, what clubs should and should not be part of the PDFL...

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads Thanks for the info. Will be interesting to see if the VCFL steps in, and what they do! On Rennie, my strong info is that Yarroweyah, Berrigan and Jerilderie are very supportive. Maybe they're not pumping...

    2008 PDFL split

Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads P2F - I'm not quite with you re above post. Did the recent PDFL meeting agree to (or at least put on the table) a North - South split of the comp, and if so, what teams were they considering for each comp...

    Hume FL

I have heard (via Hume League Executive) that Lockhart, Osborne, Culcairn and Henty approached to join Farrer. Lockhart are opposing it because the Farrer comp plays their juniors on the Sunday - Lockhart quite rightly want to travel and have all games on the one day. If Farrer are prepared to...

The moment that has most infuriated you:

95 Grand Final. Paid a week's wage to get a ticket off a scalper. Watched (what turned out to be those salary cap cheating b#stards) Carlton flog the Catters. That little showpony umpire Carey not paying a free to Ablett the first time the ball was kicked down to the goalsquare. SOS scragged him...

Rd 14 - What game is worth watching?

Guys, thanks for all the tips. Just back home from Adelaide this arvo. Even though I'm a Cats supporter, the game on Friday night was a letdown. If I was a Crows supporter I'd be really p!ssed off with their effort. AAMI Stadium is pretty impressive with a full crowd though. Tried out a...

For Rennie I found Holbrook to be the most welcoming. Good facilities, and although they were a stronger club they were very encouraging to our teams as to the way we played. President addressed our seniors after the game and invited us all back to the awards. They even awarded a 6 pack to the...

Reggie - One thing we've enjoyed about the Hume League this year is all the new pubs and clubrooms we get to have a beer at! Your blokes and Holbrook in particular have made us welcome enough that we've been happy to stick about afterwards. Many of us also kicked onto the Brock Pub (after...

Crime and Misdemeanour Team of the Century

You may have to split this into two teams due the outstanding quantity and quality of nominees. How about "Team 1 - Assailants" (for offences of violence) vs "Team 2 - Thieves" (for offences of dishonesty)? Would be interesting to see how they match up!!!;)
