Maybe you haven't gone through everything that a club is supposed to go through until you've experienced this and come out the other side :(
Don't have to like it though.
Probably can't stretch the budget to $20K (you're nuts in a good way pjcrows ) but if anyone's looking to offload 1-4 tickets then I'm totally up for an epic panic purchase within the next 24-48 hours k thnx guys love youse all :fire::fire::fire:
What if Dangerfield's end game is to get to Carlton?
They wouldn't want to pick him up as a free agent because it'll affect their compensation for Kruezer (if he leaves). So they get an end of first round pick for Kruezer or (heaven forbid) pick two.
A situation is manufactured where we can't...
No assumptions here. Using their stats (especially from only 2014) doesn't provide a valid comparison - of course Jenkins is higher in contested marks, marks inside 50 etc. because he played almost exclusively as a forward. At any rate, in Giles' best year in 2012, he averaged more contested...
I disagree, but it's clearly not worth discussing any further than we already have.
We have to back Walsh in now to get the most out of what he's got, but I hope that Walker/Jenkins/Lowden get first crack at it, with the threat of Pods to keep them honest should any of them prove inadequate in...
Not sure I totally agree with this bit...
...in that I don't know if the number of times this actually happenned is significant enough to make note of it. But this bit...
...is relevant. Walsh brings with him an entirely different perspective on the game, I hope it results in better...
Does Lowden replace Jenkins, play alongside him, or play in the reserves?
Somebody apart from Walker has to go for 100 contested marks a year and clunk 40-50 of them. Pods can do it next year, which will be his last - who comes after that? It will take an enormous turnaround for that person...
Square peg, round hole, doesn't matter if he's ultimately more effective. Apart from Pods (one year to go), we don't have a forward who gets to contests and brings the ball to ground with any consistency, Giles is capable in this department.
Jenkins has both, without a clue how to use either...
Would we lose anything if we convinced Giles that he'd come in and play ahead of Jenkins? Giles is clearly better in the ruck, but he's also a better contested mark, better kick, more aggressive at the man, and an all round smarter footballer.
Clearly that would take some convincing. Maybe it...
