and im not blowing my own trumpet, i play for serp and cant get a kick personally, so itd be good to see someone from the league do alright...

Not sure if this guy, Matthew Smith, has played in the BFL or not? But he is from the Bendigo Pioneers. Is this kid a chance of making the AFL? Worth a look at recruiting? He appears lightning...

What is peoples opinions on this player?
Is he capable of playing at AFL?
Has anyone played on or against him?
Is he worth a look at recruiting?
He looks quick, skillful and a vicious tackler and this video.
if he dosent make afl thatd be redicuolus. he has achieved to much to not get in the AFL despite his height, but the game is more fast flowing now anyway, so he wouldnt be out of his league. His strength would make up for his lack of height.

just watching through some AFL 2009 draft prospects and came across this video.
does this kid look like a chance to make AFL and would he be worth recruiting? his agression in his tackling especially appears second to none.

just watching through some AFL 2009 draft prospects this kid was one of them. its matthew smith from bendigo. he looks like an extremely aggresive tackler and very quick. has anyone played on this kid or with him? and would he be a chance in the draft?
was Just looking through youuTubes videos of AFL draft prospects and found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcRX8761Hv4
its of matthew smith who plays for calivil when his not in the pioneers. anyone played on him? reckon he is actually a chance of making it? would be good for the league..
can Calivil be stopped? They've almost been put down as no chance the last 2 or 3 years, because there success is due to come to an end, but it dosent. THere is a lot of pride and passion out there, that's the difference between them and the rest. MOst of them are original Calivil people, and if...
The home and away games are almost over, anyone got any tips or opinions at the moment.
Sandhurst were written off at the start of the year, but belted the two bottom side by huge margins, and followed up with a belting of South Bendigo by the biggest margin they've been beatin by yet. Their...
LVFL is $7 and usually free for pensioners!
As someone said the atmosphere is much greater in HDFL, but also in LVFL.
But this is because those leagues are community based and supporters
in that area gernally all follow the local club.
Bendigo isn't like that at all, as it's spread all over...
who reckons Newbridge should play the Castlemaine 18's in an exhibition match?
could see a close game! be interesting to see the difference in standards
wouldnt say that mate
he only got a kick coz he played backline where the ball always was, haha
apparently they'll have a fair few numbers out at serp in under 17's this year
haha i cant work it out either, rat is saying that youngg guns and hayden sumner are full of em selves, but isnt he being a bit hypocritical there?
btw rat, if you had seen young guns play you would see why he is like that.
Loddon Valley players that have been invited include Matt Smith, Pete Evans and Ant Dennis from Calivil. I have heard Alex Pollock of Bridgewater has also got an invite.
well thats a bloody good pick up! nathan mcnally would be the best midfielder in the comp, his brother is an awesome footballer to. and brad comer was one of the better players during the year! are st.arnaud a strong side?
i doubt the serpentine football club will have a side this year unless the club has a go at giving a stuff about there juniors and help out. that was the plan this year but never happened. and has been the same for last 3 or 4 years. more than a handful will be required from the bendigo league...
lvfl does have good talent out there, but the league its self isnt under rated. the top few kids in each club make a fair side together tho. but apart from them they are made up of 13-14 year olds or even younger. some teams such as serp or inglewood had 15 or 16 players playing for them...
