Surprisingly, I reckon Vickery would have been a gun ruckman if he was played there from the start. So getting Lynch would have forced him into that role creating a win win for us. Like you said, butterfly effect!
Long time since my last post. This one is probably directed at people born before 1990. I was born in 1981 and grew up with very little joy as a tigers fan. But then came along Richo.... For a long time he was my reason to watch the tigers (as I'm sure was the same for many of you). So, anyway...
First post for a long time. Here goes...
Prestia out for Miles. Playing with zero confidence, has no pace which is costing us defensively, and his ball use is well below standard. I do rate him but other than one game this year he's been crap. Miles deserves a game. Seems to be forgotten how...
Gday mate. Nah not going anywhere just gonna have nowhere to put them soon and rather than just have them packed away collecting dust i thought I'd offer them up for sale so someone else can enjoy them. The lids guernsey is my favorite! Gonna be sad to see that one go! I can send you a pic if...

The headline says it all. After watching the pre season games i was shaking my head wondering why on earth Melbourne got rid of him. He seemed lively, got plenty of the pill and used it well. But once the pressure of a real AFL game for premiership points came into the equation, his deficiencies...
Not sure what all the fuss is about. We didn't have Moore last year so no loss there. We have 4 developing talls already playing senior footy, 2 of which should be really hitting their straps this year in Rance and Post (who everyone on here seems to have forgotten about). Grimes will fill the...
Re: Tigers to trade pick 14 for GWS pick 15 + Morris
Unless he is a substantial upgrade on Graham and Browne, which from what i have seen in his career so far he isn't, then there isn't alot of point getting him.
Vickery is playing so well as a forward that i dont really want him in the number 1 ruck role permanently. From the remaining ruckman we have i honestly believe Tom Derickx will become our number 1 ruckman over Browne and Graham once he is fit.
Even when he is fit he has alot of competition for his spot now. Farmer, Delidio, Newman, Grigg, Houli are all ahead of him as small defenders not to mention Moore and Rance who can play either tall or small. Hard to see him fighting back into the team at the moment.
There once was a time not so long ago where Thursfield would have been first choice for any tall forward the opposition threw at us. The question is does he still have it in him? Personally i doubt he is up to it any more. But in saying that, has there ever been a greater opportunity for a...
Possibly Bachar Houli? Not sure how he goes defensively one on one but could be an option. Kelvin Moore id say will play more on the smalls and mediums this season when he comes back from injury. Newman is capable of doing it but you dont want to isolate him down in the back pocket when he...
Players are told in no uncertain terms to know exactly what medication they are taking and if it is or is not a banned substance, so at the very least he was careless or just plain stupid. But is that enough to warrant a 2 year ban?
On the other hand he just happened to test positive on grand...
1.Collingwood-as much as i hate them they are a fair way ahead of the rest
2.Geelong-new coach will invigorate them
3.StKilda-one word, Reiwoldt
4.Fremantle-on the up will be hard to beat at home
5.Bulldogs-can see them sliding down but still comfortable finalists
6.Carlton-strong midfield...
Two things we need this year to improve are a key defender to stand up and become an elite stopper, and a second tall forward to help out Jack. If we get these two things we will improve out of sight.
No question we would have made finals comfortably that year had the injury not occured. Brown was absolutely flying at the time. It is amazing how much just one superstar player, which Brown certainly was at that point in time, can change the dynamics of a team. Not only do you count his direct...
