I think it's a better idea then giving 3 points, as in the NAB cup. At the moment no one cares about giving away a point, but they do care about giving up possession of the ball so easy.

The only reason a team would deliberately rush a behind was so they would gain control of the ball again. I say let the point stand and then have a bounce from 25 meters out from goal. Players would think twice before conceding a point again
