I am the same but I always check stats as sometimes in the heat of the game, may miss something or overstate.

Maybe if we were better in centre and stoppage clearances, his stats wouldn't matter? However I still can't find any stats that his rebound clangers are as high as you seem to think. Do you have any stats?

Agree I am one of his biggest defenders but today was a shocker sadly (along with a few others).

With other games yet to be played, JDG is now ranked 1st in total clangers. Also, picking him the goal kicking comp means I am out.

His stats: 14 Kicks, 9 handballs, 6 marks and 5 tackles were pretty good plus his on field coaching. Only one player had more disposals. The rest of the team must be really bad.

He is all class, gives his all at big moments/games.

I used to say that but if you look at any game again, very few games are lost in just one incident. We were getting killed in clearances, gave them too much space, didn't land our tackles. Think we take the draw and hope that we can do better next week.
