Analysis The Rebuilds of Geelong and Richmond and their Future Prospects

Ollie Henry looks passable, Brad Close is okay, and I guess Gryan Miers. I'm not too familiar with the Carlton forward line outside the KPFs....Obviously you've got the eye though, so I'm really keen to hear your evaluation. How do these Geelong list cloggers compare to Carlton's lot which are...

    VFL 2024 Sandringham Zebras

What a brilliant win by Sandringham as expected our midfield wore them downin the 2nd half. Cooper Sharman kicked a check side pearler from a pocket to put Sandringham in front with a couple to go. In the end it was the winning goal. Brad Crouch bog Mr In and Under just wins first use of the...

If the AFL is serious about stamping it out then surely he gets 2 weeks as did Will Day for his tackle last season on Brad Close. Close played on and wasn't concussed but I can't remember what the medical report said and this is almost always what determines how many weeks if any the tackling...

I’ve definitely noticed a huge improvement in George’s leg speed this year. I didn’t want to draft him after watching his games last year, but he’s come a long way. Good on him.

AFL Player #24: Nick Bryan - In against The Gold Coast - 1/6

Word out of Ess (I believe Brad Scott said it) is that Bryan was consulted prior to bringing in Goldy and was fully supportive of it. Either Bryan just said he was supportive because he was put in a pretty impossible situation, or there has been genuine communication about his progress and...

VFL VFL 2024 - Geelong & the greater league

...a decision making process based on order of merit on VFL performance. In my opinion under this thinking, you will end up with a very good VFL team. Many AFL players never dominated at VFL like Hardie has. If Brad Close played VFL, I'm not confident he would be in the best players every week.

VFL VFL 2024 - Geelong & the greater league

Didn't Tom Atkins break the vfl tackle record in a game before we gave him a go? Fair to say he had defensive work as a translatable attribute. Fair to give Hardie a crack for sure though.

VFL VFL 2024 - Geelong & the greater league

I take your point on everything you've said above.... As a reference point for my opinion, and I am not a massive atkins fan (love his effort, happy he gets a game, but also think he is limited.....) Atkins is a better player than Hardie and was a better player than Hardie at VFL level before he...

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

It's a good thing ppl never watched Brad closely in the 3 peat years. I found he was running around sometimes away from the ball to open up holes in the opposition's structures. A deliberate tactic and part of our offensive strategy. Brad has his strengths and weaknesses if he was 5 years...

Autopsy Round 11, 2024 : Hawks poach the Lions

Couldn’t agree more! Derm is brilliant because he focuses on what’s happening off the ball, outside the range of the TV cameras. He therefore provides invaluable insight to TV viewers. Yesterday, for example, he alerted us to how the Lions were loading up through the centre square on the way...

Round 3, 2012. North are playing the reigning premier on a Sunday twilight. North came back from Hobart thumping GWS by 129 points and Geelong pulled off a bruising victory against the flag favourite Hawthorn on Easter Monday. North are ranked 13th for average age and 13th for experience...

Essendon are now the one to watch out for - They can win the premiership

Didn't you hear Brad Scott's press conference? We could of won by 100+ the last two weeks, but that wouldn't have been sustainable against good sides, so making it a close scrap was better for us.

Player Watch #7: Jack Viney (VC)

Shit I thought he was 29 Was gonna say maybe he's playing with injury? But you're right he could easily be cooked. Melbourne supporters always looking for excuses to just poor form. Maybe just maybe, Viney being close to 31 years of age and right at the back end of his career could mean that he's simply cooked and we just simply accept that as it is.. Look at Brad Crouch from the Saints who came in the...

The Fluoros lean heavily into umbrage as response. The weedy centrals then develop their own set of clues, their "little miracles" that get screamed at (against?) your club in the following weeks (seasons?). If they're going Salty Chris and his boys, mang, there's serious head wobble with...

Can't keep giving him a pass because players are injury prone. He is responsible for rehabilitation, yet we see the same players going down with the same/similar injuries over and over.
