    PokerStars iPad

Has anyone found a way to play the iPad poker apps for cash games...? To my understanding these apps are removed from the Aus iTunes - but can be downloaded with a US iTunes account... Although real cash does not appear to be an option... ?

    Pacific Poker/888.com

Jumped into a $1,500 Gtd $20+2 tourney last night - only ended up with 49 entrants ($500 under guarantee!) This is my first Pacific Poker tourney and I am by no means a star but came 7th with my AK went down to A8 with an 8 on the river. (Top 5 paid, 5th $120, 1st $600) Overall there were...

    Pacific Poker/888.com

Yes just working that one out. It is a big culture shock after coming from pokerstars - in fact I played for 30 minutes now I'm back playing in PSs. Will give some of these tourneys a spin though and see how we go - the cards are cards at the end of the day, just take some adjusting.

    Pacific Poker/888.com

Not yet signed up... best deal I seen was 100% + $10... other than that they offer entry to a $1000 freeroll and satellite to the $100k Sunday tourney...

    Pacific Poker/888.com

Installed the software for Pacific Poker this week. I notice that every guaranteed tourney I look at comes under the guarantee. Some very good value to be had there...? Seems to be very small volume in tourney action but plenty of people in cash. Anyone have success stories or advice... my...

    Poker Profiles

Now that is just being greedy - roll with what works. Have a mate here who tells me his friend turned $160 into $2500 with a session at a Niagara casino this weekend. Average player but the cards just fell his way, a $500 double up with his 77 a KK sums it up. All the same he takes home the...

I want to get serious about online poker

5 games last two nights - 3 finishes on the bubble and 2 cashes 'just' (first out) - 9 seat to 27 seat games (2 bubbles = 27 seats). Doesn't give me much confidence, my bankroll is dead and bad luck isn't exactly exciting me when I'm playing pretty well. Playing a very tight and patient game...

    Poker Profiles

I love this answer. I can completely relate to it, my attempts to shift my obsession to something a little less costly and time consuming are so far unsuccessful. However it is an improvement over horse and sport betting! Thanks for the posts guys - I'd never heard of Hansa before...

I want to get serious about online poker

Appreciate your comments FR, good read and you aren't full of yourself or your success. I've been grinding $30 US in a variety of SnG games and not making a great deal of progress. Got to $110, then was on my last $5 when I cashed in a $5 rebuy tournament (AA first hand helps) - currently...

Thanks ppg. Sounds like Party Poker steps a bit... obviously worth the try, and better than paying the $200!

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

Nice work - I took on my first tourney experience tonight with a $5 re-buy w/$25 re-buy option at first break. I was blessed with [AA] first hand and everyone two other guys were just throwing all-in because it was a re-buy. So I Tripled up. Basically dodged my way to break with about...

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

You probably need to work on being able to adjust your game and be flexible...? Otherwise you're going to run into trouble every time you hit a crap player ;p Which is a bit backwards... it would appear that you need to tone you game down at those levels because I get the impression that you...

Why is poker so frowned upon by American law??

That is a bit ignorant... Regardless there are American's everywhere online, it may be illegal but they can't stop everyone or anyone from playing. The only problem they have is getting their cash into accounts... Its illegal to gamble and drink under 18... you don't think millions of...

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

...and that is a big deal? bad players are bad players... you either win cash or build chips to outlast them in a tourney/SnG. Look I've been playing for only a couple of months and the fact you blame your play and bad luck on a lesser skill level of others is laughable. Aren't you on...

    Online Poker Content/HH thread

Re: Post Your Hand History part 2 Here is one for you guys - not sure how to lay it out... in summary $15+1, 9-seat SnG - turbo blinds I fell behind early on the first hand after losing my As-Ks (paired K) to one caller who hits a second pair (9s and 2s) on the river (called my 100 raise, and...

    2009 Poker Challenge - PokerStars 1c/2c

Thanks for the info on the trackers guys. I agree the information is a useful asset - being a social more than 'profitable' player I don't indulge myself too deep in stats, note taking is about as far as it goes. To my knowledge you are only getting information on those people while you...

    Crown: Aussie Millions

Re: 2009 Aussie Millions @ Crown Casino I was discussing today that almost every big winner you see quit their job to take up poker professionally... as if to suggest it is as simple as that (it isn't is it?!... or am I missing out) So not only do you 'only hear about the winners' they...

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

thats right. I'd rather learn my trade losing $100 max then stepping up rather than busting out as you learn. Not saying that is the way I went about it but it is where I am now, haha :D Everyone is a superstar and profit-maker when it comes to poker it seems. Someone mustn't be telling...

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

    Pokerstars Double or nothing

I don't doubt the credibility of that strategy online. People like to move along quickly, particularly if they are only playing a table at a time. Even if you don't consciously note how long people are taking to call/raise/bet you sub-consciously factor it it when you make a decision - I'd be...

    I'm playing online now - Part 2.

Here is one for you - after a horrid Friday night (lost on AA, lost with KQ (paired Q) to Q6 with 6 on the river... etc) I dodged the online tables for the weekend. I step into a 45 player SNG, on the final table get dealt QQ. Nice to see I've turned into another poker whinger... :rolleyes...
