So it WAS the players' fault, not the coach's :p

    1976 SANFL Grand Final

I've got the 1990, 94, 95, 96, 98 & 99 SANFL Grand Finals. The 1990 one is an odd one - Channel 7 I think, Ian Day and Graeme Campbell commentating. For some reason there's no action replays on it, which is a bit of a b*astard when you want to see Wangas towelling up Scooter Salisbury time and...

    What happened Easty!!!! hahaha

Don't forget the bit about our all-conquering club winning an AFL licence as well - something no other SANFL club could ever possibly do on their own

    You Tool Easty!

Don't be too hard on the Lonely Guy. He hates the Crows, so he's not a complete loser
  5. Grave Danger

    What happened Easty!!!! hahaha

Having just completed another premiership hat-trick, Port should have made up "half the bloody side" (to quote from Paul Kelly's Bradman)
  6. Grave Danger

    Sturt

Good to see Westies up there for a change. Can they make it to a Grand Final? Port have beaten everyone else in a GF over the last 22 years - Westies would complete the set

Which is why the Power has virtually ignored them as a recruiting ground...

    Glenelg win !!!!!!

You're overlooking Kane Cornes, Macca - definitely a Glenelg pedigree there!
  10. Grave Danger

Glenelg win, for the 1st and last time in 2001!

Why on earth have Sturt got a depleted side - it's only round one for focks sake. Do they train on Friday nights with the Camrys or something?

    SANFL club colour/mascot origins

Do you realise that the Magpies have won 36 premierships and Sturt haven't won one for 25 years, collecting an amazing 8 consecutive wooden spoons (1989-1996) along the way?
  12. Grave Danger

    SANFL club colour/mascot origins

There's pictures of Tony Brown and Ryan O'Connor in their lace up guernseys in my March edition Magpie News, so no doubt Port will still be wearing them in 2001... [This message has been edited by Grave Danger (edited 16 March 2001).]

Are Woodville West Torrens the softest team in the country

Well, with nine spelling and punctuation errors in one short paragraph, YOU are the moron (which is clear from your statement anyway).
  15. Grave Danger

Are Woodville West Torrens the softest team in the country

It's all part of their club culture - they were formed from the merger of the two losing-est clubs of the last 40 years. How about their pissweak capitulation against Port in the 1994 Grand Final? 6 goals up in the first quarter and ended up losing by 6 goals! Absolutely blasted off Footy...

    Ports chances this year?

I'm optimistic. Since 1988 the Maggies have never gone more than one year without winning the flag! We've lost a few more veterans again this year, but picked up AFL experienced players in O'Connor and Brown. And POOLEY will be magnificent as captain (if the umpires give a fair go).

    Woodville-West Torrens breach salary cap!

If you believe their excuse, they're not cheats - just dumb: "we couldn't work out our new accounting system"

    SANFL Player movements

Has anyone heard if Richard Ambrose will return to Port? He won the Sandover Medal in WA last year and there's been some speculation about him going back to SA. With Ambrose, plus Ryan O'Connor and the return of Pooley from injury, that would go some way to cover the loss of experienced...
