Hahahahaah!!
This was an absolutely cracking read guys.
Apparently we are s**t, only win because the umpires help us and because we get to play some games in Perth. We also boo heaps and that's unfair on the opposing team. We should cheer the opposing team or at the very least be respectfully...
I dont even know how or why Sinclair has come up though in this conversation. Sinclair is not a forward. Sinclair is a ruckmen who sometimes rests in the forward line. Much like NN will do from time to time.
So I dont even understand the argument or why anyone is comparing the two sides key...
It's comments like this that makes me realise you just dont watch us. Never seen a bloke with such great hands. Absolutely clunks marks. If you told me there is a bomb heading into the forward 50 with time running out and we needed a mark. Kennedy, very good. Darling, he can grab one. NN can...
Perhaps but you have to win the ball in the middle, have clean use of it, win it a lot and get the ball to spend a lot of time in your forward half. Cant see it myself.
Not sure why this three tall forward business is meant to be a problem for us. Roughhead, Gunston and Bruest arent exactly small blokes. We handled that just fine.
I like that North fans are confident and believe their team can win but let's just look at the facts this season.
Round 2 - Carlton traveled to Subiaco, get belted 69 points.
Round 5 - GWS were the next visitors to Subiaco. They left with an 87 point hiding.
Round 7 - Gold Coast are our latest...
I couldnt find the post but about a month ago I said something about how Collingwood's next four games were really tough and could easily lose all four.
Here we are three weeks into that four game stretch and they have lost all three games. First to Freo, then Hawthorn and then Port Adelaide...
He was recruited to be a midfielder and improve that area for us but his first season was ******* horrible. This season with the emergence of Yeo, Sheed, Duggan etc we have found a new role for Wellers. He has been terrific off half back all season. As has Sheppard.
Yeah I remember that passage of play. Started at a bounce in the center square and nobody really got a clear possession but the pressure from WC forced the ball forward time and time again. It was like rugby as we gained ground. Ended up 25 out from goal where we eventually got possession and...
Meh, im not overly worried about Collingwood. We're two games clear of them at the moment. Even if they beat us in a couple of weeks in Melbourne, we are still in a handy position to finish top 4 ahead of them.
I wont get into the whole Collingwood v WC debate.
But I will touch on the ruck issue.
NN is great but not Cox. WC fans saying NN is better or has more impact are kidding themselves. NN though does still have so much improvement left in him, he hasnt maxed out at all yet.
Secondly, our ruck...
What's your point? I understand Subi holds less but if you finish top and secure home ground advantage then it should apply right throughout the finals. I know absolutely NOTHING about Rugby so wouldnt know.
So we have to play at the MCG cos it holds more people? That's a stupid reason.
Just stating the truth mate. When will the AFL sort that issue out. It is terribly unfair if we finish 1st and Collingwood 2nd for the GF to be played at their home ground. Just makes no sense. Gives Collingwood a huge advantage. Playing it at Subi gives us a huge advantage, but a huge advantage...
The umpiring was pretty terrible. Two I remember was when Shuey got caught on half forward. Was blatant holding the ball, they didnt call it. Luckily in the same passage of play, they then gave a dodgy high free kick to North which in truth they deserved because of the obvious one they missed...
Yeah you're right GF's are won in Melbourne which is still ridiculous. We have just about the only game in the world where home ground advantage which you have earned during the season is null and void in the biggest game. It's pretty ******* ridiculous. Despite the unfairness of the competition...
