Couldn't help but notice when they were showing old Garry Lyon highlights on the Front Bar tonight that there was an 80s VFL game between Geelong and Melbourne where both teams were rocking the navy blue shorts. Was this sort of nonsense common back in the day?
Just have teams wear shorts incorporating a jumper colour. Can't be too difficult, surely. Teams used to wear black shorts at home regardless of their colours, that went by the wayside, why can't white away shorts?
There's no need to wear their majorly dark jumper when they have a light one that is basically the same except with a white back. Why not make the game better to watch? It's not like it's a non-traditional jumper or anything.
