Do xmas stuff first. Snow second. The snow is coming later and later in the season now. Even in mid Janaury many places in the mountians might not have snow fall.
Before xmas you need to spend some time in germany. Its where all the biggest xmas markets are. Everywhere in europe has them but...
If you dig deep enough there is always nuance. There just isnt a lot In my opinion.
was in Seattle a couple of months ago and I literally felt like I was in Chicago or Washington on the other side of the country. Seattle is a dump by the way. Dont get what the appeal is. Walk down by the bay...
About 25 trips now. Been four times this year.
people who havent been to the US much need to know the cities are mostly the same. I certainly wouldnt do a domestic flight just to see a different city outside of new york, new orleans, las vegas or Orlando (if you have kids) unless you are a life...
People in Melbourne are a bit more rebellious then people up here in queensland. Seriously people will not cross at traffic lights here on one way streets with zero traffic unless the man is green.
Australians dont rebel. We queue up at bus stops in long orderly lines and often refuse to cross an empty road if the lights arent green.
we are conditioned sheep.
I really disagree om this point. its just we put up the bad news stories in well the news so everyone think it happens a lot here. It doesnt. These stories are used to justify the nanny state and because sometimes theres not much else for our news media to report on.
people get into drunken...
The same would happen here in australia if we allowed drinking on the streets. In fact it would even be more safer given we are a richer and have a far more rule abiding culture.
Your confusing returns with inflation. For a 100 years between 1890 and 1990 there was almost no real return to housing. In 100 years. And this is despite dramatic improvements in the quality of housing stock. Taking account of quality improvement the real returns were deeply negative. Its only...
Thats because there was a massive property boom in these years. A once in a 100 year event. Who knows what will happen in the next 30 years. My guess is it will be the worst 30 years for property in the last 100 due to a correction.
Tip if your kids are still under 10. kids get super tied on holidays and will want large chunk of days just to hang out at the hotel and do very little. Even when it's theme park holidays. Schedule these breaks in your trip and get a babysitter and do some adult stuff.
Dont mean we will spend 5 days in the theme parks. Just staying at the onsite hotel. Possibly 2 days at theme parks, one day at water park, another day just chilling at hotel/pools and one day where we go offsite.
Thanks, was the lightsabre activity in galaxy edge worth it? It looks mighty expensive.
yes I try to avoid la airport like the plague. Dallas much better experience.
been to dc a few times but only for work. Never on holidays with the family so we will spend a few days there.
thanks for the...
Yep was definately thinking of staying in the disney resort. Spend mornings and evenings in the parks and then chill back at the resort and hopefully pools in the afternoons when the theme parks crowds are at their worst. Also take a couple of theme park free days.
Sigh. Looks like we will head to disney world for our next big holiday cos i got primary school aged kids. Thinking just under three weeks in orlando (2 weeks at wdw and 5 days at universal), plus a week in new york and a couple of days in dc.
Am i going to regret this? Not because of the money...
I found this funny. I live in brisbane. To say there is anything here that is as good, let alone better then memlbourne Is just completely ridiculous.
and sydney is a nanny state hovel whose entertainment precincts are all 80 years out of date.
Lagvullin is close to Talisker. Thats my second choice. Recently had the nick offerman lagvullin in guiness casks which was an interesting take.
Talisker is better though.
