I’m playing fantasy for the first time since 2013. The mid-round rankings confuse me a bit. Do they mean anything? Or just wait until Sunday night to see how you are travelling?
I haven't paid heaps of attention to the changes.
Can someone confirm that we are selecting a team for round 1 only - and that we can then select our team for the season in round 2?
Have gone Clisby to Frost
and
J.J. Kennedy to Beams
leaves me with 79.5 for next week. Will hopefully use for a sideways and to upgrade Harbrow for someone slightly better.
Really wanted to trade Harbrow, but thought it was more important to bring Beams in, should have a high average the...
This thread has the rankings from last week of those in the leagues. Some pretty high rankings there.

Well after much dissapointment that Carter is a mid and Lycett is a forward, I went with some pretty standard changes:
Hanley -> Richards
Goodes -> Griffen
Leaving me with some dodgy bench cover: Clisby, T. Mitchell, Blicavs (so no ruck cover) and Staker.
Round 18, getting into the business end of the season. Here's to high scores and no injuries.
Just Heppell and Goddard for me tonight. As everyone has them, it doesn't really matter what they score. I'm projected 2344 for this weekend, hopefully can get lucky and reach/beat it.
Yeah sorry for the scare :)
I based my decision to bring in Griffen over ROK this week on his resting, but maybe it isn't relevant. I'm still going to choose Griffen.
That's one hell of a midfield. Pretty much the top 7 mids. If you could do another trade this week and get Beams in next week that's one option. O'Keefe may be an injury risk. Mundy could benefit from the Dockers good run home. I think Priddis is decent after considering it.
I've got him, and am looking to trade him out after our game next week against Gold Coast (to Beams). We then play Essendon, Geelong, Collingwood and Adelaide as our last four games.
I'd go someone like Cotchin or J. Selwood over Priddis.
My team after going:
Hanley -> X. Richards
Goodes -> Griffen
$181,200 left.
Still need to get Kreuzer, a better D6/7, and guys like Beams and Montagna. But overall looking ok getting towards the end of the year.
Bartel ruins my plans somewhat. Would mean I'd have to have no one on the bench to keep him in the team...
Actually, no it would just mean I'd have to have clisby as my d7 for this week, and shift staker to the forwards.
So I suppose Bartel out is a goodish thing, as it may cause issues for...
Harbrow -> X. Richards (via Staker)
B. Goodes -> Griffen
Hopefully my decision to have an 89k F8 won't lead to any issues. Now need to improve my mids. Have Priddis/M. Murphy/T. Mitchell as M7-9. Maybe Beams in a few weeks would be a good late season trade.
Leaves me with $175k for a couple...
I've had a look through my league (which is a good league) and I reckon about 2350 is par. A few have predictions over 2400, a couple below 2300, most in high 2300s.
Yes, I bought a jeep.
Jude Bolton at F8. Thought he'd be a good guy to stay there the rest of the year. I couldn't see anyone cheaper that I could put at d7 or f8 who would play each week.
The other option is to get a forward rookie, and bring in Griffen instead of Jelwood.
Will be lineball if I can afford it, but maybe:
Harbrow -> Bolton (via Staker)
Goodes -> J. Selwood
This would leave Bolton as F8, and Cloke/Kennedy as F6/7.
Staker as D7.
M. Murphy/T. Mitchell/Priddis as my M7/8/9.
