Barring injuries or surprise selection, I think I'll go Lonergan -> Ruggles and Graham -> Scully with ~120 in the bank. Was tossing up between Zerrett and Scully.
This is it currently. It will probably change a bit by the time the season rolls around. I'm thinking Lobbe and Minson could end up with primary ruck duties. May even swap Minson for Lueuy if he is named. Not sure about McKenzie/Weitering and LeCras/Hall. Might swap them out and spend a bit more...
Was on track for an awesome score. Then the round started. Barlow my captain :-| , Bonts out, Wallis injured for 10, McGovern injured early and the rest of my team spudding it up.
I am a deadset idiot. Screwed myself out of an extra 200 points. I think I will use my fantasy ray of uselessness (my captaincy selection) to cripple Freo's opponents. I need to trade in Lance Franklin and make him my captain.
Grundy is looking like a good option, sole ruck at the pies, so he should average over 80 easily. A lot cheaper than Mummy. I made the exact same trade last night Leuey to Grundy.
It is a tough one.
Mids - I'm staring Newton with Cripps(E)/Ellis-Yolmen on the bench, because I'm worried they may both get the vest (Cripps first game back and Grigg has been omitted for Radelaide maybe putting the vest onto Ellis-Yolmen). There is a definite risk reward scenario though. I...
There is not much to split them on exposed form. Given that both are performing about on par, I'd take Dangerfield as he is $20k cheaper.
Scratch that, just realised I was looking at their supercoach scores not AFL fantasy. Change my vote to Wines. An extra 20 points avg for $20k.
The higher their $value, the more they hurt you when the stink it up. At this stage you should only be paying premium coin for dependable high scoring players. He will lose a fair bit of value over the next couple of weeks I would think. The sooner you can offload him the better. I'd dump him as...
What do you need? I can see Wallis knocking out 80-100 every round, VB and Rich are more likely to have a wider range (like 70-110). VB is probably the best value as they are all likely to average around he same, and he is the cheapest, but he has been used as a tagger in the past, in which...
I'd dump Beams, he is not coping with being their best mid by a country mile. Too much attention for him. I'd look at trading him out for Bontempelli + cash and then maybe you could swap someone like Goodes out for T.Hunt instead of Kolo, as I think Kolo might fire up soon.
I've tried to leave my sentimentality at the door and I've picked my team on exposed form.
B: Newnes, Gibson, Higgins, Lumumba, Geary, Goodes (McIntosh, Byrne)
M: Lewis, Sidebottom, Griffen, Neale, S.Selwood, Langford, Wallis, Sheridan (Cripps, Ellis-Yolmen)
R: Lobbe, Leuenberger (Griffin...
I strongly considered HMac, but went with 2 cash cows (Sandi and Hampson should both gain significant amounts of value before I replace them with someone more durable).
HMac will probably start slow, as he's been out of the game for a while.
I've gone Hampson and Sandilands starting, with Derickx and Thurlow on the bench. Sandi should be good for 80+ a game for the first few weeks, as Hannath is the only other fit ruck for Freo. Maric is out for 6+ weeks so Hampson should be shouldering Richmonds entire ruck load for a while...
Sorry - I should have noted, my team is in the fantasyelite comp, not the dreamteam, where the scoring is the same, but we aren't under salary cap pressure.
I've gone with HMac and Hale, with Hille on the bench as a backup. It's a bit more versatile than going with 2 pure rucks, as I can plug either a hole in my ruck division, or in my forward line.
