I have played for a while but have not been in AFL for a couple years. I am the the leading 2 time winner of the Ultimate Footy Bigfooty Dynasty League.
Ok made adjustments for you CrozaN. What do you all think?
Changed Birchall and Burgoyne for Suckling and Duffield
Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Suckling, Heppell, Duffield, Ellis, Smedts - Bugg, Darley
Midfielders: Pendlebury, Ablett, Masten, Coniglio, Wingard, Magner - Shiel, Treloar...
I do not really see the problem. I might have to trade Burgoyne or Birchall for Broughton, but that would easily solve the problem. Ellis will be my first trade out of the team and I will be upgrading one of Shiel or Treloar to Docherty once he comes back from injury recovery. He will be the...
I like your team, a common theme seems to be that people are only going the one premium ruck. I do not personally like it but I also consider myself not the great DT'er
Webberly is ok for a bench position perhaps if he is in the 22, not in a starting position, just because of the uncertainty...
Is this not the best team you have seen yet???
Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Heppell, Burgoyne, Ellis, Smedts - Bugg, Darley
Midfielders: Pendlebury, Ablett, Masten, Coniglio, Wingard, Magner - Shiel, Treloar
Rucks: Cox, Sandilands - Giles, Rowe
Forwards: Franklin, Pavlich...
Gone for a different strategy this year. It has been hard adjusting for the byes. The players I have put in RED are the ones I am unsure about.
My question is should I move Dangerfield out of the forward replace him with Saad (is he even a DT'er) and then upgrade Miles? Also Sheppard how good...
Wow we have a similar team our forward only really differ. Your teams good! I just have tried to go for a few more potential break out players than you have e.g. Rioli, Jack. The red marked players are the ones I have gone with.
Yours - Mine:
Boyd - K. Jack
Hibberd - Gaff
Petrie - Sandilands...
Firstly thanks for the advice. Although will opt to keep Montagna. I consider it pretty likely he'll be in the top 10 in the competition. Also I believe as a Richmond supporter that their are better options than Foley at that price. Gamble was very impressive last night, might really benefit...
Don't like it you have way too many players over 25 and once they get to that age their upside starts to deteriorate. Gilbee, Shaw Cornes, Goodes, Gia, Pavlich...too many. Your not a serious player if you go without Sandilands and Swan. Goddard and Riewoldt are simply too good and their scores...
My final dreamteam I reckon bar a few late rookie decisions and the decision between Cotchin and Scully.
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Hurley, Otten - Toy, Puopolo, Duigan
Midfielders: Swan, Boak, Jack, Anthony, Scully, Swallow - Ilse, Mzungu, I. Smith
Rucks...
Choosing the right one out of Scully and Cotchin has come down to my final decision and it's all important. Cotchin's primed for this season, but Scully is going to be the next Ablett/Swan dreamteamer, just how fast will he get there? I am leaning towards sticking with Scully. Though Cotchin...
Thanks for the feedback, your right! So I got ride of Pendlebury for L. Anthony and upgrade S. Johnson to Colin Sylvia. Leaving the team now at:
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Hurley, Otten - Toy, Puopolo, Duigan
Midfielders: Swan, Boak, L. Anthony, Scully, Martin...
My team:
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Hurley, Otten - Toy, Puopolo, Duigan
Backs are the hardest just because I can't put a finger on who the top 10 players will be. Hurley has the potential to be a 90 PPG player so I took him. If I were to take anyone else it would be...
Logical assessment. But he's trained with the midfield group all pre-season and the wing is his position. Was probley our most damaging midfielder in the last part of last season and is too valuable to be moved forward.
All Richmond supporters want to see Morton on the wing, no one on our team...
I like your team one of the best I've seen. You have avoided Petrie and Zaharakis. I like that. Get rid of Knights and I'd be happier with it. It hurt his groin the other day anyway! On Gwilt well I went for Hurley on potential and am taking a risk. He would be the next person I'd trade out...
After taking in all your suggestions I did decide to clear out two of my mid range players (Martin and Zaharakis). Leaving a final team of:
My team:
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Hurley, Otten - Toy, Puopolo, Duigan
Midfielders: Swan, Bartel, Boak, Pendlebury, Scully...
Boak is not going anywhere. I rate him extremely highly. Capable of being a top 10 player in the competition this year. I saw him live round 22 last year, so impressed! Averaged 95 last year. I reckon he`ll be closer to 110 this year.
My expected averages for these mids are:
Hurley (really...
Firstly there are a few good forward and back rookie players....enough to fill the bench spots (Callinan, Mzungu, Puopolo, Toy...ect).
Secondly a lot of people draft way too many rookies, they have no middle class that could go on to be keepers, in essense stuffing up their whole trade...
Thanks mate for the feedback. I'll upgrade Stokes have a bit of cash remain and don't see that he has the potential rise I am looking for. Might downgrade Gaff to Iles or some other good performer of the NAB cup. I am surprised though not more people are going for Scully, Martin and Naitanui...
